Ok I know its been here before but Ive tried all fixes and nothing! Wont turn off unless I pull fuse or neg from battery. Sometimes the heater stays on also. Its a 1998 gsx. Tried alt fuse replaced it just incase, tried switching the relay, torn whole dash apart looking for bare wire that could be shorting, nothing! cleaned up a couple wires while I was there cause previous owner had an alarm that was removed. Took apart engine bay fuse box just to look for shorts, nothing. Not sure what to do next? *update* Talked to previous owner and he said "it started happening when his mom tried to jump start the car and her car started smoking a little" it looks as if battery cable to starter was replaced but could that have fried something? It runs ok, every now and then the cel comes on and the number three injector stops working?? I get code p0203

Wow ... that's a bizarre one. Based on the things you've tried and that you've been through the wiring I'd suggest try swapping the ECU. I wonder if something went south there. The other thing to look at may be the light selector on the steering column. Might not be making contacts properly. I actually have a spare one I could sell you if interested.

Sounds like a relay or shorted contact for a switch somewhere. What about your running lights/tail lights, do they go on/off with the switch?

I'll have to look up the diagrams tomorrow but I might get time (if I remember). You have to bust the meter out and follow some diagrams to figure it out I'm sure.

Check the column switch. (Section 54 of the FSM, illl post it up later if i have time).
If the column switch checks out okay, with the switch off, check on the headlight relay harness, that the smallest red wire (PIN 3) is not shorted to ground.

Tail lights go off with the switch, just the headlights stay on and sometimes heater, ill check headlight harness as soon as I can get my garage heated up!! HAHAHAHA Its cold!!

Makes me think a relay then. I assume there haven't been any wiring add-ons or changes?

Check the headlight relay, swap it for a known working one for a quick check. If no avail, check the switch like @dustyboner said, and if still nothing you'll have to start testing the harness #metertime.

Already tried switching relays, nothing, tried unplugging switch and still stayed on. Thankfully I just bought some heaters for my garage so it wont be so bad trying to figure this out! But it is my project car so itll be fun when i get her done. Ill let everyone know as I get to it and what I find, the plaN so far is to just start tracing wires from headlights and see what we find!

Then I'm going to assume you have a shorted wire somewhere. I haven't remembered nor had time to look up the diagrams since works been so busy, I will attempt this tomorrow since I'm sposed to be getting some for my buddies lightning also. If I do I'll post back with findings and pics if you're lucky.

Ok so far I have gone through the fuse box and the wiring on the front of the car and have found nothing! Taken dash apart and nothing behind there either, unplugged all harnesses to steering column, switched relays checked fuses, cleaned up alot of wiring from previous owners but have found nothing to lead the problem??

The headlights are backfeeding something that got burnt when the battery was reverse biased, there are diodes on some relays throughout the cars electrical system that will get trashed when battery terminals are reversed, have you tried unplugging the alternator just for the heck of it? This thing doesnt have led lights installed anywhere on it right?

The person that had it before did led headlights

FINALLY FOUND IT!!! When he put in the new radiator he must not have been paying attention to the wire loom that goes right next to the botton of the radiator because there was about 5 wires pinched and melted together. So now I can finally put it back together and focus on mods!

Well then it looks like you found where they were backfeeding through, I figured for sure that you would find a shorted diode of some sort.
