So got car sort of running after rywire install. Runs super rich o2 stays at .80. Timing wont do much no dtcs, double checked mechanical timing. Was hoping if I posted a horrible data capture if anyone would check it out for me. Just went sd. Have no idea what I'm doing on it. Have watched videos still confused. Just want to get base stuff set before I start trying to tune. Any input would be awesome. Be home soon to post small 30 second long data capture right at startup

been doing alot of reading and realized how little i know... i have the car running the ve table that link comes installed with. im in new territory with the new map setup very new to it. but i think i have other problems i need to take care of first. have verified mechanical timing again this afternoon. o2 wont cycle and timing wont go above 7 no dtcs. car starts and runs but super rich and runs like its on three cylinders and wont even try to idle. o2 doesnt seem to be doing anything and timing is being held really low for some reason. thank you to any advice. good cpmpression.

1) You need to add your MAP sensor and wideband to captured vales so that your log can then display those values.

2) Your throttle is jacked. It's sitting at 13%. Could be a physical throttle cable issue or it could be that your tps is really out of whack. Fix this immediately.

3) Your coolant temp is 229 which is really high.....I wouldn't operate the car at that temp. Does the car not have fans installed yet or something?

4) The reason the car is running rich could be the throttle issue causing the idle switch to goof up.

5) Everything else looks normal as of right now.

Nice thank you guys! I have changed the coolant temp since posting. Will set data captures and the other things as soon as I get back off work thank you !! For the start.

no matter what it do i cant get timing to go past 7 and still burying my wide band. i have made recommended changes. tps is at .63 and ve table adjusted. so im on my way to being all set up. still cant figure out how to get it to run at the afr table numbers. but slowly its getting better. thinking of sending ecu back to ecmlink again and having them check it out.

Why are you wanting your timing to increase past 7? Are you think your timing should increase as the rpms go up? I don't know much about that wideband but make sure you've calibrated it all that if the directions call for it.

Ya I guess I never really thought about it. just kind of assumed it would. I'm just not sure which direction to keep looking. Weather it's a tuning issue or a malfunction somewhere now.

So I'll check over the wideband stuff next then it sounds like. I have the white wire from the wideband going to pin 4 on ECU. Had wideband setup same way before rywire install and car ran normal so I have to see what changed as well. Thanks again it's a big help .

Go for a 20 minute drive in varying conditions and apply SDAjust suggested values for the VE table. Timing on gas is sometimes even negative for part of a pull. You can creep up from low timing until she shows knock. I had tons of knock showing up so I zeroed everything out and started fresh. Link V3 has helpful things in it for you to use, right click in your log and hit SDadjust combined ft tab and see what she shows after a short drive. Tryin to help here. Its what I do on my cars.
I think I have a max of 7* timing in my gasoline DSM's, 19* on the E85 car for what its worth.

I would but it's running so bad and smoking a good bit of grey smoke that burns my eyes . I dont know what to do ha. Its running pretty rough.

gas tested my o2 sensor this morning with a rag . read pretty well actually i could run the rag past the end of the sensor and it would get a reading just from that, then leaned out once rag was away. so seems like the o2 is working. although readings were 2afr off from each other. this is a data log from today. let it sit with key on a while while i looked though settings, then fired it up a couple times. starts right up no problem just runs so rich. i have the fuel setting adjusted a good bit this time at idle range. no matter what i do the front o2 voltage stays full rich as soon as the car starts. then full lean once car isn't running anymore. getting 5v to pin 4 with key in on position.

If its belching grey smoke then lean her out. Put lower numbers in your VE table or adjust your global fuel a bit more negative.

Just throwin in some tips that I have learned for ya. I'm not the tuning guru but I can get mine to run pretty good. A Pro would do MUCH better but we all need to learn the small things and you're doin good.

have new idle log. changed ve table and fuel slider. i know i need to only tune one or the other but just testing right then. and got it to idle for a bit at a semi normal AFR but then shut off on its own and wont restart. gettting good spark and plugs are a little wet but wideband is staying lean while cranking engine to start.
