I auto swapped my manual as some of you know. How do you guys have the 2 step installed. Im trying to install the ground wire to the brake switch. What wire are you supposed to use? I know some guys use an outside switch. Id still prefer to use the brake switch if possible.

ive got mine tied into the brake light switch so it only comes on when on the brakes. as far as where i tied in there was a spot there that i was able to put a spade connector in that worked.

The green/white? wire on your brake pedal switch would be the wire to tie into. Otherwise you can tie into the single wire on the ebrake handle as well, but it would require pulling the ebrake up for it to activate. I use both the foot brake and ebrake in my auto to stall, so either would work for me.

The green /white wire? Is that a ground

any reason why you use both? ive never had any issue stalling my car just off the brakes.

It’s the feed side of the pedal, when the pedal is pressed and the circuit closed it becomes a ground. It’s normally open

It’s more habit than anything with this car. I use the hand brake to preload my 5 speed cars, this cars still on a 14b and it’ll stall 15lbs on the foot brake without pulling through the brakes. I’ve had previous higher power cars that required the hand brake and foot brake to stall though

i stall mine to 4200rpm (about 17psi) on just the foot brake but we did play with tuning in that area to get it not to pull through. granted ive got upgraded pads and braided lines.

I stall mine to 4200 (~20psi) using the foot brake but I installed a vacuum pump which I use only when launching. I have upgraded pads and braided lines as well but would still pull through at times. With the vacuum pump and 2 step through the ARC-2, it stalls up to 4200 in 4-5 seconds and holds until I release the pedal. Wire the ARC-2 to a relay that runs to the brake light switch, works great.

Here is a write-up on it:

The purple wire from the ARC-2 is the one you use for timing retard(2 step). Test the wire on the brake switch with a volt meter to be sure you are tapping in to the correct wire.

all purple isnt for the 2 step. thats strictly for timing retard. the purple/ white wire is for the 2 step activation
