Has anyone used LED headlight bulbs? Cant seem to find anything on here, but I may be looking in the wrong places. I see all kinds of HID conversions, but the LED bulbs are simple plug n play and in my opinion, just as bright. I do not want to do a projector headlight.

I just bought my first 99 gs and havent messed around with it to much. I am wondering if the fan on the back of the bulb will fit with the cover on the back of the headlight.

I bought these exact bulbs over a year ago for my truck and they have been absolutely amazing.

Anyone have a good led or bright replacement bulb for the fog lights?

Ive used LEDs before and I like them better than HIDs. Just like your self, I used them on my truck for about a year with no issues. I have yet to use them on my eclipse but I will here shortly. The fan wont fit the cover for sure, but im sure the will work nice. I just installed some in my wife’s Altima and yeap, they work good.

Does the cover need to be on the back of the headlight to keep water out of it?

ive run leds in my dd for about three years now and they work 10x better than my hids ever did. i switched my talon over to led as well.

Any leads on where to get them for my 90? I do the drag race scene and need less draw on the battery at night, and like others, I haven't found bulbs that fit but I am sure I have seem them.

Did the back cover fit over the fan, or did you leave it off?

i think i left the back cover off as my leds wouldnt quite fit.

I installed LED bulbs in my 1g. The cover should fit over the fans no problem. The hardest part was getting the bulky connector into the housing. Good thing about amazon is that you can return them if they don't fit.

it really depends on the bulb brand itself as theyre all made different. my cover didnt fit well with mine so i left them off.

You're right. Amazon does have a fitment guide. If it doesn't fit, you can return without paying shipping for return. I was able to put both covers for high and low back on.

I never did the highs in my truck because the lows were already so bright. I did however do the fogs in the truck which really helped.

I am going to order the same light I did for my truck, had to do some trimming on the truck for them to fit. I am thinking I will have to leave the cover off.

Has anyone replaced there fogs with an LED bulb with a fan?

mine fit in the housing just fine but the heat sink was a little tall. i guess for me it wasnt that big of an issue on it.

I'm running LED headlights on my 99 GSX. The covers fit back on, but I still modified them to let some "cool" air in. I remember reading the LED's can overheat (that's what the fan is for)especially in a sealed housing. The led bulbs themselves have an o-ring to "seal" the inside housing.

Gonna try some myself hopefully this weekend in some sealed 1ga projector housings, regular bulb works like crap couldn’t even see it on the board for a sticker, hoping the led can fix the issue

I had to do something similar to my silverado for some airflow. I am sure I will be doing the same thing you did.

Which LEDs are you running?

Just my corners and parking lights.
But if you have a good lead on LEDs for our headlights that shine bright and see far more I'd love for you to link it to me please. I'll add it to my led replacement tech article. Anyone can add their link, I'll check it out and go from there.

I have had two pair of these on my truck for over a year with no problems. Just bought another pair for my 99 GS.

So i bought a pair LED headlights blubs for my other car, when received them and I was in the process of installing them and my brains light bulb turned on. My 2g uses the same 9006 bulb so I uninstalled them and began installing the same set on my 2g Spyder Lowbeam headlight and it fit with the cap cover 100%. I had to completely remove the headlight assembly from the car to tuck in the wire inside and it fit perfectly. it's so bright people ask if got HIDs...i tell them "No I'm not a ricer honda" :D then i bought another set for my Yukon :sneaky:
