Okay, So.... I haven't posted in the last two weeks because, I haven't made any real progress that I thought was worth sharing. Plus the car seemed to be fighting me at every turn lately.

Little background after getting the car back together:
-No start, dead battery. "Replaced"
-Have power now, but car wont crank. Found a blown 30amp fuse. "Replaced"
-kept blowing fuses... Turns out I grounded the Noise Capacitor by accident. "Fixed"
-Great car cranks now but starter seems to be struggling. "Replaced" "Also Replaced coolant temp sensor"
-Okay I got power, car cranks but it wont turn over... "Verified Spark", FPR shows 42psi"
-Keep diagnosing the no start issue. Turns out half of my settings on link are missing. "Adjusted link and saved to ECU"
-Car now cranks good and acts like it wants to start. Found the IAT sensor pins are not engaging. "Replaced with new connector"
-Car now cranks and fires up!!! but it is running on three cylinders..... Pulled the plugs, cyl 4 isn't getting fuel. Injectors were tested good before reinstalled.
-Last night I put a noid light in the connector, and fired up the car. Noid didn't flash.. This means I have a wiring issue...Im guessing there is a break somewhere.

As you can see it has been a struggle, but hopefully it will be running soon. I miss driving the damn thing.

Well after more reading, testing and them more reading.... Things are pointing towards the ECU being the issue. After testing my resistor pack yesterday and it failing in the correct ohm range. I went ahead and pulled my ECU.

It looks a little suspect to say the least... Iv reached out to ECMtuning, to get some feedback.

Problem solved.

It was a broken wire on injector # 4 that was deep in the main harness. Took a couple hours but my buddy, and I found it. Time to get the exhaust finished and the car is good to go.

Small little problem I noticed this weekend. Almost of year of having the carbon hatch installed and the sun has already started to fade the coating on the carbon. I'm going to buff it an seal it, but If it continues to worsen, I will just get it re-cleared.

This past Friday, I had the car towed down to my buddies shop in Fredericksburg. He is going to modify the downpipe for the new catback exhaust, and maybe add a lower bracket to the vrsf core. In my opinion the core moves around to much with the supplied brackets.

Update 7/5/18

Well the welding work is all done. Ronnie is so quick even though I told him not rush and to take his time.
He added a lower bracket to the VRSF core to stop it from moving around. Take a Look at those welds. :O

I don't have any pics of the STM catback installed just yet, but I'll post them later. Ronnie did point out that my downpipe will need to be fixed eventually. It is rubbing against my T-case how it sits now. I'm glad He brought it to my attention, but I'm not sure how long I will be using this setup with all these cool manifolds the vendors offer. So I'm going to let it be for now.

Well it’s home now, and actually it drives great. But as always, I have some small details I need to iron out with.

My 02 sensor was hitting my lower pipe when the engine moves, also my “service engine light” flashes when I tried to give the car boost on the ride home.

Pulled the codes.
I’m getting a knock sensor code & and IAC code. (Iac is gone)

I went ahead and cut the flange on the fmic pipe .25 shorter, and re-installed the lower pipe. No more interference on the sensor. I erased the codes as well, I’m going to drive the car and see if the light comes on again.

Haven't really messed with the car since I brought it home in July. I drove it a couple times in the last couple weeks logging and adjusting as needed. Big thanks to Mike for helping me out. Car still needs a Knock sensor and more adjusting on the idling. I'm just burnt out from working on it. I'm needing a break, so I decided to focusing on bikes right now.

Sold the bobber a couple weeks back, and bought a Zx6r 636 for cheap to mess with and hopefully flip.

I'm sure everyone is getting ready for the Shootout. I'm just over hear playing with bikes LOL

So I sold the 636 last weekend, and have switched my attention back to the Gsxr 750 I'v had sitting it the corner of my garage. Title finally came in so I could register it. Rode it a couple times last week to work. The bike looks good in pictures, but up close the fairings are in terrible shape.

Scratches and cracks all over. Iv been waiting for the title to come in before diving into this project, and the time has come.
IMG_4596.JPG

I got lucky and found some 750 fairings for sale local and picked them up for a steal.
Their fiberglass but the test fit went well, so its time to get them sprayed.

I low mounted the license plate and also installed some under tail LEDs. Might be a little to bright on the street at night, so I may switch from two to one LED. Well see.....

Also I'm debating on swapping out the Jardin exhaust for a M4 or Akrapovic.

Quick Update 9/21/2018

I am still working the GSX and getting the Phantom knock issue figured out. The Evo 8 sensor didn't fix anything. I ordered a new pigtail harness from Ohm racing. I am going to get that new knock connector wired in and see what happens. I really want to take the car to H20 at the end of this month.

I also purchased a new oil return line kit from Extreme, so I can fix the leak in my return line.

But, I have mostly been working on my GSXR 750 over the last couple weekends. I was going to get my fairings professionally painted but after getting a couple quotes,it just doesn't fit into the budget for this year. Va property taxes suck.

I decide to just rattle can it with some stuff I have at home, since riding season is almost over... Ill just wait to paint it next year, and get it done right.

Check out the pics below!!

Starting on the tank. I am going to go heavy on the clear coat and then wet sand and buff. Not terrible for a rattle can job.

Update 9/17/2018

The GSX is back 100% :dsm:
On Saturday, I went to work on the GSX with a goal of accomplishing two things. 1)Replacing my turbo return line to address a leak I have had for a while. 2) And replace the engine harness pig tail for the knock sensor. The Return line was straight forward, its a nice kit from extremepsi. And the new pig tail wired in fixed my knock sensor issues, big thanks to OHM Racing.

Took the car out boosting, no lights or issues. :thumb:

And I gave the Jeep a nice wash. It was a good weekend :laser:

It was a very productive weekend for both the GSXR 750 and the GSX.

I finally finished the paint work on the GSXR, and got it fired up. Looking forward to getting a couple more rides in this fall.

Then I changed the oil on the GSX, checked over other fluids and lug nuts and finished up with a wash. Hopefully everything goes well on this trip to H2O.

Update 10/3/18

I decide to go to H20I this year in Ocean City Maryland. The Drive was about 3 hours and I honestly had a blast. It was my first year attending H20, and I will defiantly go again next year.

Here are a couple pictures I took from this past weekend.

Quick stop at a gas station once we crossed the bay bridge. My buddies SC400 Turbo was starting to smoke turns out his PWS res was leaking. Filled it up and kept going.

IMG_4867.JPG

Friday, we decided to work on the SC400 as it was leaking at the turbo and Pws steering area. The turbo kit install was rushed so he was dealing with the aftermath of small mistakes. My buddy has owned this Lexus for a while now, but it was basically sitting un touched for about a year. In three days he got a turbo kit slapped on, running, and drove it to H20. Dude has balls, but thats Toyota reliability for ya. Pushing 8psi stock block. The 1UZ V8 engine sounds awesome with a turbo.

Got a check engine light for 02 sensor malfunction. My lower IC pipe is still touching it from time to time. I will need to do some trimming soon.

Overall I saw a lot of awesome cars. Supras, NSXs, GTRs etc. But majority was mostly Germany BMW, Audi, & VW. After riding in some cars and watching others go down the strip it got me thinking.... Building a turbo M3 would be a blast for sure. Some of the power these guys are making with their inline 6s is crazy, and they are keeping all their creature comforts. There was a bunch of built B5 S4s that sounded awesome. And pull very hard for being on the heavier side. The highlight of the weekend was riding in a Audi S6 (V8 Twin turbo) This car is crazy fast, and launch control was awesome. I will be going again next year for sure. Oct is going to be a good month since WCF is right around the corner. :thumb:

Update 10/8/18

Boosted Fab Bumper Bracket install & Fixing Lower IC pipe clearance.

Another awesome and fairly priced product from Boosted Fab! These brackets help to support the front bumper when you remove your front crash bar when going to a bigger FMIC kit. They are adjustable to help pull in the gap you may have between your head lights and bumper. They included bolts and bolt into your frame rails.

I was still having rubbing issues between my lower fmic pipe and 02 sensor. My angle grinder and sawzall made for a every quick fix.
Here is how much material I cut off the FMIC outlet.

Tons of room now.

Well guys. I took a page right out of Dyesupermans book and went and bought myself a Mazda RX7 FD. I have always wanted one of these cars, and decided last week it was time when I saw this car come up for sale. Very excited to get this new build going! I was going to go back to evo, but I decided I wanted to try a new platform out...

As some of you might think the GSX is going up for sale. I don't have the room or time to give both cars the attention they deserve. I believe i have accomplished everything I wanted to do with the gsx, its been a blast these last three plus years with the car. I would like to see the GSX go to a good buyer.

Here is the RX7
1993 Clean Title
80K miles All original
Runs and drives.... Just needs paint work. Brought it home from Maryland this past Friday night. Didn't have any seats but i was lucky and found some on FB for $150.00. They cleaned up pretty good.
