Greetings, names Tyler. I purchased a 92 awd Tsi with 104,000 around 6 months ago, looking to bring her back to life. Two months after purchase I ran into an overheating issue and noticed that the belts were bad so I'm in the process of ordering and waiting for a plethora of new parts to get her running again. Been lurking on these forums for a few months now and decided to make a profile and try and contribute and chat with other owners.

Welcome, do you have any paperwork as to when the timing belt and components were done last? If you don't, I would put that on your list too.. GL with the build!!!

I do not, the previous owner didn't keep track so I figured I'd be safe and do as much as possible right away. As of right now for parts I have that need to be installed I have and oem alternator, oem water pump with new bolts, mishimoto radiator, samco upper and lower hoses, hks 1.1 bar rad cap, hks Kevlar timing and balance belts, oem idler, tensioner, and balance pulleys, magnecore 8.5mm spark plug wires, ngk plugs, arp head studs, oem composite head gasket, oem valve cover gasket with spark plug well gaskets and the half moon seal, and a fp coated manifold with the hardware kit and new studs. Hoping to get a majority of the work done in one go so I can have an easy reference for when it all needs to be done again. I think I covered most of it, been reading through a lot of posts on here for awhile. Thanks! Hoping it all goes smoothly
