I recently purchased a set or Arias 7 bolt pistons and set of 7 bolt eagle rods. I took it to the machine shop and apparently I cannot use the rods due to the piston pin. Apparently it needs to be pressed in and the bushing on the eagle rod does not allow it work. Can someone elaborate for me or do i need to buy a whole new set?

Thank you

Do you have the specific part numbers for the pistons and rods, so the investigation can get started?

Here are some pics. Am i missing lock pins?

Those rods and pistons are supposed to be a floating pin setup with clips in the piston retaining the pins.
Exactly what this guy said. Maybe they were a defected set because typically, they have clips locking the pins in place. Id contact Arias

It looks like it has a bushing. The only thing I received was the rods nothing else. I'm assuming the lock pins should've came im the arias box?

I appreciate all the help guys. Thanks alot
Big help with that part number brotha
The thing is, in the pic you provided. I don't see a groove for the clips to sit into to...

That's what the machine guy was telling. I called realstreetperformance and theu informed me it does have clips. So I'm not sure what to do. It' past my 30 days to return the pistons, so either I get a whole new set of pistons or get rides with smaller pin diameter

Did you provide them with the pics of the pistons without the grooves?

Good point. But money.
OP, do the pins fit/slide into the rods?
Maybe that's why the machine shop said they wouldn't work originally. According to the specs on the pistons and rods, they should mate except you don't have the receiver grooves for the retainers.
Surprisingly, the Saturn motor I just built has full floating piston/rods, a main girdle and forged crank. Don't ask me why, but it is very trick for a Saturn. Sorry, I couldn't find the picture of the coated skirt full floating pistons in it, it showed the receiver grooves. :(
