Time to keep track of everything I'm doing to this car. Figure this is the best place.

Here is how I got the car. Basically stock outside. With a decent size list of mods done to it.








Here is the dyno run. Took it to get it tuned was having a hard time passing emissions and got it tuned but while in the process spun a rod bearing. Good news is it passed emissions.



So on to this.




While the motor was out I figured I would clean up a few things on it.




Ordered a few new things and got it to look the way I want. Now hopefully I don't have to do this again.






Found a set of used Evo wheels to fit around a set of CTS V brakes.

Looks good. Love the interior. Just need a good black dash to finish mine. Since you're using the Evo wheels (assuming), what are you doing with the original wheels?

I am most likely going to sell them. I am going to CTS V brakes and don't plan on going back to stock.

If you do decide to sell them, let me know, I've been wanting those oem wheels for a long time, and only live an hour (or less) away.

Went to the dyno today with the new motor installed. 511hp 438tq

Had an interesting time at the Dyno. At the beginning, we were not making more than 5lbs of boost and could not figure out why. Smoke tested for boost leaks and found nothing, scratched our heads for a while. Just happened to notice that the cam gears didn't look right. Turns out they slipped and went full retard. So all the boost pressure was just escaping. After that, all went smooth. Very happy to make the power we did.

Next up this week is Evo wheels and big brakes....

I have those wheels and tires sitting in my garage. You still interested?

Time to update this thing again.
Took the car back to the dyno for some more tuning after putting some new 2150s in. In the process of that managed to blow the head gasket so.......





Got the head done by Heads by Drew. Rebuilt, news oversized valves, guides, etc.

Before that, I had got a used trans off of some jackass on DSM nation of facebook. "Jacks stage 2 only 3000 miles" Turns out that transmission had a bad first gear synchro. My old transmission was feeling a little notchy so......





Sent the trans off to Jacks to actually have it built, ultimate ratio build, WPC and micro polish. And since most of the engine bay is apart and I hate chrome. And the manifold was peeling......





Next up is to get it back together, maybe keep it running for a little while this time.

40psi, a head that was a little warped and the cheaper of the 2 ARP head stud options. Those issues should be fixed this time around.
