Bored much LOL are you using the treadstone collector and mani flange. I like it. I've been thinking about selling my erl manifold and building one.

I know what you mean tig gloves don't do anything when you go to reposition and the pipe moves , you try to catch it and we'll enough said LOL

So im one of those assholes who always says, im just gunna tack this real quick....2 hours and 10 burns later...anyone who gets burned alot knows how bad they hurt. This particular time I went to move the manifold after welding a section. I grabbed the pipe i just welded....If it werent for my calluses it would of been really bad.

I use mig gloves to Tig. Specifically the Tillman 1250. It's thin enough to allow you to still feed filler rod and thick enough to give ample heat protection. Also, at times, I also use a stick glove on my torch hand and use that same hand to handle the part. It all depends on what I'm working on.

I like using the Tigster gloves by Black Stallion. Can still feed .045 wire with them and they are durable enough to do mechanical work with or grab hot metal.

Good job on the work!

Going to prep and finish weld #1 , remove the tacks on 2-3 and weld off the manifold

Is it me or does it look very tall? Also when welding up your runners, try to keep it all going in the same direction and make use of aluminum foil and super long stick outs for getting to the tight radius'.

Yes tall.... its a little higher than the front of the valve cover, gunna test fit it, hopefully im ok, if not- i did it with scraps so im not to worried if its a paper weight. Just trying to craft my skills

I had designed it to fit in the indent in the front of the hood, before i pull my engine im gunna test fit it. If its to high im gunna remove number 3 and lower it a bit, number 2 is welded but not connected so i can fix it
