Hello, So the other days I ordered a new set of OEM 7-Bolt Oil Filter Housing Bolts for my build from EXTREMPSI. Well today I went to install my oil filter housing and am having an issue, the bolts seem to be too short only 2 of them actually fit.

The bolts I received are as followed:
2x MF241264
1x MF241268
1x MF241261

From those only the MF241268 & MF241261 fit, the other 2 are seem to not reach the thread.
-Are these the correct bolts?

Should have received (2x) MF241266, not MF241264. The former are 10mm longer than the latter. The MF241264 are 2G slave cylinder mounting bolts.

Thanks for the input, guess extremepsi messed up a bit, but I will look those up and order them as I also needed to order the slave cylinder bolts.

I would toss that cork oil pan gasket, theres a reason the factory doesnt use a gasket.

Never had a issue with them, but I never used the hex stainless steel bolts from Maperformance with them before and noticed since they are already short they get lose, thank I will remove and get some hondabond or similar.

Hondabond will work great as well as Yamabond 4, the cork will compress and constantly allow the bolts to loosen and it also cracks when you then retighten the bolts and will leak like crazy, your doing the right thing getting rid of it.

Thanks for the advice will definitely do. Oil leak problems are the last thing I want to deal with when I get this running.

The right stuff black or gray is by far the best rtv for oil pans and the like. Pretty much the same as hondabond, mitsubond, etc. You can find it on eBay significantly cheaper than part stores (as with anything) I also use megaloc pipe dope on all the ofh fittings and the upgraded Evo bolts (with the rubber washers on em) on my turbo oil drain. Seems to do the trick.

True, I've never been a fan of using rtv in anything in my motor, but ordered yesterday the yamabond 4, as mentioned with the cork gasket and the stainless steel bolts I order from MAP don't seem to be working well with each other, as I went to open the pan and all were lose from just sitting on the stand, so the gasket is going out.

As for my turbo return that one is welded to my pan so won't worry about that one at least. But will look into the megaloc pipe dope for fittings, as am planning to run external oil cooler not the watercooled sandwich in the pic.

Thanks all for the advice.

If I could suggest something it would be to use a stainless line off of your OFH to your turbo filter. I see it is on your OFH and they don't really like things hanging off of them. My son had a sending unit on a brass fitting break clean off right on the housing so we use a 1' hose then a filter (if we are using one), then another hose to go from the filter to the turbo. If it breaks off, the turbo will be toast from no oil but it is still spinning. My filter is actually ABOVE the oil feed on my turbo so that if I have a motor problem, the turbo still see's SOME oil from gravity. Just a suggestion.
