So the wife and I have been working on removing this hideous in my opinion wide body kit. And good grief I've never seen so much bondo and wood screws in my life holding this thing on. I had planned on replaceing all the bumpers and fenders. but now we have gotten the wide body kit off both rear quarter panels, man this is going to be a lot more work than expected. Ugh so here it is after taking it off.

So this weekend I plan on picking up a torch and a metal scraper. And going to town on taking this 1/8" of bondo off these quarter panels. Then pop these little dents out. I hope they will come out easy.

Alrighty where to start. After seeing how much work needs to be done to the car to look decent and making a post about what to do. I’ve came to the conclusion to buy a new shell and transfer the engine and tranny over.
So I searched the webs for awhile and found a nice shell (black one)for 400$

96 eclipse gst 125k no engine or trans. Interior is in good shape just doesn’t have carpet. Also has no sun roof so no messing with trying to get it to seal and not leak. Haha
But with it haveing the gst harness and me having gst injectors and few other parts. I figured why not just throw a 4g64 sohc in here but turbo it at the same time. It will all be stock 4g63 parts but not going with t25 just a 14b. So that way it won’t run out of breath as quick.
Will be starting on all this this weekend. And will probably have another update by Monday. Stay boosting tuners!

Update time!! So Ripped the engine out of the spyder Thursday night. Didn’t really want to because the only time I had to rip it out was midnight. Because I was taking the shell to Miller imports on my way to get the new shell, it had to come out that night. But nonetheless got it out and called it quits. Friday Wife and I got it up on the trailer and dropped it off at millers and picked up most of what I needed(manifold/ecu/downpipe/o2housing intercooler pipes etc). So I go ahead and skip to the car being home and within 15 minutes the motor was in!!

Sorry for the lack of pictures, Thursday night and Friday was a complete shi# show. Haha but everything is going really smooth so far with the car. The only thing left for the engine is put the gst throttle body on and injectors. So we’re getting there. Only thing I need to get is gaskets, turbo and cat back. Keep boosting!:hellyeah:

Just a small update! So I got the stock 450 injectors in the other day. Along with the stock gst fuel pressure regulator because the stock 4g64 fpr has higher fuel pressure. I know some threads say you need a safc to tune for it but that sounds a bit rediculous just to tune for fuel pressure.
Then I put the black box ecu in and fixed a few wires. For whatever reason the signal wire for 1-4 and 2-3 was cut and switched so switched those back to normal. I also found out my fuel sending unit is missing from the car, Ughhh why!!
I got bored waiting on everything to come in so I went ahead and mocked everything up to see how it will fit.

Well there was a small problem and it was bound to happen eventually. The j pipe was hitting the left radiator fan. So I’ll just run one for now and get some slim fans later on. But other than that everything is good. Hopefully will be done soon I should have the rest of what I need next week for it to run and drive woohoo!! Keep your boost higher than your tire pressure! Haha
