Short story long, my 6 bolt was built with "money doesn't buy you brains" mentality. This guy spent the big bucks and got the best of the best. However, a lot has went wrong with this motor from his inexperience.
Engine was built prior to my purchase.
Everything checked out to what the owner claimed. claimed. Eagle 100mm chromoly stroker crank, eagle h beam rods, arias pistons, Arp main studs, etc... I've had the car since 2009 and literally have put 5 miles on the car and engine. I like to take my time on cars
Back to topic, needless to say was going to do a timing belt(he put the wrong oil pan bolt under crank ) then one thing led to another. So It ended with me dropping the pan. Found two of four oil squirters mangled and sitting in the pan, then spun the third of fourth squirters out by hand.
Now, everything in the pan is oil squirters related other than one tiny little spring that was broken.
First thought was oil reg. Spring.... but way to small. Then another person I asked thought a lifter spring, but all lifters are the revised lifters and intact.
I'm still learning the in's and outs of these motors. In other words, I'm lost in the sauce as to what spring this is.
