it trips out and starts idiling @ 1500 rpms

This probably has something to do with you having the 'simulate idle switch with tps' checked, but you haven't performed a tpsadjust and the throttle position is 1% at idle. Also, I'm betting your ISC needs adjustment but we can't tell because you're not capturing this value...

You're combinedft is closer to 0% now, but airflowperrev has lowered a bit. Next, you'll need to raise up the appropriate mafcomp slider to get your idle set up.

For the millionth time, watch all of the demo videos...here, I'll take you right to them:

The fuel trim starts off at about -13% then levels off in the 0.4-2.0 range thats what i want correct looks like i need to adjust my maf raw too its running at 38%

MAF Raw is what it is - the only way to change that is to get more air flowing (i.e. push the gas down).

At idle, you want to watch the AirflowPerRev at first. You will adjust MAF Comp sliders for 0 and 50Hz to get this in check (.26).

Then you will look at CombinedFT. You will adjust global deadtime until this gets as close to 0% as possible.

That is all you should be touching while tuning idle.

Never want to go into the minus Right? the question I got is when i start the car up mafraw starts at -15.2, then it works its way up to around 0.2-2.5, nothing more or less, is there something wrong with my fuel injectors or is it taking that long to build pressure? btw how long should i be logging data for exspecially on cruise logs he didnt touch on that in the video,. nor did he touch on when you change the values in direct access openloopthreshold if you save them to the Ecu? I just went out and got a 5 mile log of me doing the normal speed limit out here 57mph.

BTW I did press the gas down it would/will still go into the minus untill it builds pressure

Don't want what to go into the minus?

Somehow I don't believe that MAF Raw starts at -15.2 and goes up to 0.2-2.5. Either you're referencing the wrong value or something else. Post a log showing that if it is true.

As long as you feel like. I prefer to do cruise tuning at 20-30 second intervals at the target Hz level on the MAF Raw value. Then check out CombinedFT and adjust.

Again, not sure what you're referencing.

My mistake i meant the combinedft

Just had to make sure my injectors are working right I need to upgrade those too.
This is a picture of idle tune i just did. now heres my problem im idling hi after going some distance then stopping somewhere with the car still in drive, now i'm thinking I have to dial in the ips?

Looks like the ISC does need some adjustment. It's showing 16 throughout that log and it should be at 30. So you'll have to adjust the BISS screw slowly and let it settle every so often and relearn. Then once you get the ISC adjusted, you may have to redo what you did to get the AirflowPerRev and CombinedFT in check.

So when adjusting the isc give it a minute or two before adjusting it again man i didnt realize how indepth this car is and the DSMlink is also I got my work cut out thanks for hanging in there with me.

I can calculate this untill it settles at 30 with dsmlink right?

Brian is abnormaly patient with you. ROFL.
Anyway, to answer just one of your questions(without looking at log): Yes, the isc needs to be at ~30. Ok, now i know from personaly experience mine would not go below 42. But that worked for me. Ive got a much more modified setup than you so that is most likely the cause, or my biss is messed up. Either way it works. So ROUGHLY 30, as close as you can get it. Make sure NO fans, or any electrical components are turned on when setting ISC pos(biss screw adjusting). You notice your ISC goes up when the fans kick on or you turn your ac on etc etc.. THis is normal.

Im going to suggest ONE more time: watch the videos.

Turn 1/2 turn, let it sit for a minute or so to settle and relearn. Turn another 1/2 and repeat. It'll be a somewhat slow process, but very small movements can cause very large fluctuations in ISC position.

Good advice to listen to.

Are your fuel injectors stock? (450cc) or something different?
Are you setup for Speed Density?

Ok I am not savvy with Speed Density. But you should watch the demos on ECMLINK to get your idle set good. Also you should make sure you have 0 boost leaks.

I found your old post in regards to helping someone tune with ECM LINK.
I'm a newbie and can't find anyone local to help.
Mods are in profile OP..on my build
Om tubing using the 16G/650s.
To learn..i have 2nd gen PRECISION 6466/1600cc going on soon..would like to understand ECM by then
