Shot in the dark, does anyone happen to know the length of the threaded body of the tension arm for the Jay Racing 2g alternator relocation kit with a Saturn alt? They sent me the longer arm for an oem mitsu alt and aren't answering phone calls (voicemail is full) or email. Trying to keep my car on schedule to get back on the race track. May just cut this one down and re-thread.

If nobody beats me to it, remind me and I'll measure mine later. If you do cut it down, make sure you do the RH threaded end! Also, make sure you're using the proper hole in the block bracket.

Thanks man. I actually did think about the RH thread side, and yeah I was trying to use the lower hole for the arm(though I did try the upper one for the hell of it). My arm's threaded portion is 7.5" long.

While I'm at it, can you see if the spacer on the alternator bracket takes up all the dead space between the bracket and the two mount tabs of the saturn alternator? Mine is short by 2mm, and I don't need an alternator belt jumping off because the alternator slides around while on track. I may just fix it by adding a washer in there but thought I would ask if the spacer was also the wrong part.

There is a spacer built into the alternator that moves when you tighten the bolt down.

The black rod is about 3.5" and uses the bottom mounting hole on the block bracket. That length does not include the heim joints; just the black turnbuckle.

Thanks for that. Jay responded on facebook (yeah I tried everything) after a day and said he sent me a new... long rod. Not sure if he's out of it or can't read, but I tried to make it clear again that I needed the short one, no response yet. Joy :)

So despite what Jay said he actually sent me the short rod. Guess he's just out of it, perhaps was prepping for the shootout or something.

In case anyone ever has the same issue and needs to cut down their longer rod, the shorter rod is 3 1/8" long.
