@Kpro22 The V2 kit is the standard stud setup for a 2g DSM.

In my experience I've had better luck with the SS studs from ARP than I ever did with the OEM factory kits the last 12 years I've owned my car. After a few R&R's of the manifold I finally busted one of the original studs so I replaced them all with OEM, after busting 2 or 3 of those I ordered the ARP's and haven't had a problem since.

If you don't know...
- To remove your old exhaust manifold studs use the "double nut" method.
- Before you install your new ones, whether you decide to go ARP or OEM, run a tap down each of the threads to clean them up. The inner studs are M8x1.25 and the larger outer studs are M10x1.25.
- The top center stud blocks an oil galley in the head and needs RTV so it doesn't leak.
- I recommend using Blue Loctite 242 on the threads of the stud going into the head, what's nice about the ARP's is that there's an allen head key at the end of the stud so you can seat them in the head easier. Remember the studs aren't torqued into the head, just seated snug.
- I also recommend using Copper anti-seize on the stud ends, after slipping on the exhaust manifold before you torque the nut down.

I third it, ARP SS.

No problem. When you get your kit from ExtremePSI make sure they sent you the right one. When I ordered mine they sent me the V1 kit so I had to contact them so they'd send me the V2 studs...

I have had the opposite results so I guess its 50/50. Broke two oem studs but never had a single problem with ARP. Anti-seize is our friend and goes on everything around the hot exhaust on my car, including Turbo hardware. The worst I have had is a ARP stud come out with the nut, which was kind of a pain in the spot it was in but never have I broken one.

I have assumed that is what the OP is refering to Corey. In either case, anti-sieze is a good "tool". The OEM studs for the head have been a problem for me ONCE, after that ARP's and anti-sieze on all of my cars.

Yeah, but you're turbo is small and light. Aren't you still running the 14b?
