I have a 98 eclipse 2g gst with the split tranny f5m31 and 33.. here is my issue i need help with BAD.. I was replacing my open diff with an lsd.. I put the bearing races and spacers back in the top to install.. Once I flipped over the bell all 3 races and spacers fell out. I know the small one as it is the only small one, however there are two that seem to be the same size but with different numbers and different numbers on the spacers... I need to know if anyone knows what race goes with what spacer and what bearing do they go to??

So we get none of the following:
Part numbers
Pictures

Let me stake a stab. The right one goes with the left one and you flip the spacer 180 degrees then flip it on the other side..Let me know if that helps.

ok, I figured out the races.. but the spacers are still the question.. They mic out to be about the same size for the outer diameter.. the thickness on one is 0.036, inside is 2.402, and outer is about 2.787 has number 89 stamped on it.. or 68 cant really tell.. the other is stamped with 04, thickness is about 0.041, inter is 2.387, and outer is about 2.789

Sorry guess part numbers would help huh... ok trying to figure out what spacer goes with what bearing race..
race 1 = 30306J-N = MD718028
race 2 = 26283-N = MD726235

as stated above spacer 04 and second is either 89 or 68

An admin can delete this post if they would like. Seems there is not an answer and do not want to take up space on a dead thread.

Hey man, why not take a picture of the bearings + spacer and send an email to JacksTransmissions or ShepTrans. Those guys know these trannies better than anyone and would no doubt know exactly how it's assembled.

thanks for the suggestion.. i'll have to try jacks i emailed shep and they told me they dont use the shims/spacers so they couldnt help...
