hello guys i own a eclipse 1995 automatic!!! , im really new to this site i posted some threads before but i dont know how to search , tried on google but didnt really get much ... anyways guys
my car turbo blown recently and i installed an evo1 professionally installed and rebuilt, everything was fine , drove car for 2 days then , in my country dubai its strict they impounded the car.... for mods
anyways 1 month later i took my car , i drove it all with no problems ... drove home parked the car everything was great! i checked oil checked radiator everything was great , and new since 1 month!!! nothing was really old!!
anyways i started my car , i warmed it up next day and it try reversing , RPM goes high and doesnt really move , then suddenly it jumps back and acts really really weird, also i heard a zzzzzzz sound coming from the gear .... shiftd to D same thing rpm goes high doesnt move , after a bitit jumps frront , i then put it on R ... it moves front abit .... acting really really weird!!! on N it goes back abit, so i dont really know about cars and i NEED your help as i really love this car and i want to run it and enjoy it abit :(
please guys post whatveer u know is the problem ANYTHING would be helpful from people with experienece like you!!! please help reply asap!!! what do u guys think

Have you driven it since checking the level?
Any shifting issues or than what you've stated? It could be a couple of things need to get more details to go further. It's a delayed engagement. Alslo, What are the condition of all the engine and transmission mounts?
bro!!! condition of transmission and engine mounts are BAD BAD BAD , some are broken and i was planning to fix them soon but i fixed my turbo and got lazy to do them
does the mounts have anything to do with this bro???? please!! ansr me!! and no shifting issues or whatsoever while i was driving it ...

Many shifting problems on automatics are a result of bad motor mounts (especially front and rear roll stops on a fwd), improperly calibrated tps, or improper atf level. Problems with the actual shifter lining up or not engaging is usually the linkage nut coming loose or something getting stuck like the unused cruise control plug (if you deleted cruise control-happened to me the other day). Also check around the trans for any loose plugs or connections. If this didn't start happening until the new turbo was installed it could be as simple as something getting disrupted during install. How long did you own the car before this started happening?

As dstar mentioned, once you replace the mounts you will notice a huge difference. Rear roll stop and trans mount are different for automatics so make sure you get the right ones. I prefer to fill mine with polyurethane as my fwd has eaten a few rubber roll stops.

Yes, the delayed engagement can be caused by bad mounts. Have someone put in gear both ways while you watch the engine and trans for movement. That's should tell you quite a story.
i didnt understand the put in gear both ways part bro
im sure the engine and trans move when i shift , im sure of it ... and i could hear a whining sound whne i put it on R too
but brother i didnt undestand the last part you said , could uexplain it more please? thank you in advance i appreicate it

Both way(drive and reverse) to see the amount of movement. That will shed some insight on how much driveline moves before car moves. There shouldn't be any whine or noise while engaging the trans in any gear. Can you post a video of the "whine". That would help. The delayed movement is due to blown out mounts I'm pretty sure. Now need to address the whine

bro there is a wire thats connected to another wire , but i can see its loose , it has a plastic 'OO' shape in the middle that i think it must be connected to something ? im not really sure , thats only thing i inspected out there

and i had this car maybe a year ago so far , the transmission a year ago clutch got burned and i changed it and car runs fine :D
but know another problem .. but last time when clutch got burned .. car didnt move not even abit , this time it can move so i dont think its the clutch

also on R and any other gear , i can feel no power at all when its on no speed , then all of a sudden caar jumps like 3 steps front , then i press on rpm car moves abit etc etc etc and sure i will post a video , give me 5mins il go down to the garage and post a video of everything

You need to start by changing out your motor mounts that are bad, it's as simple as that. When you are checking the ATF, be sure to check the fluid when the car is in neutral or it was show the level higher than it actual is. Then as stated above, check the linkage on the transmission to make sure the nut hasn't come loose.

A few other things I would check:

-Make sure Bell housing has not started to separate from the block (Should be snug to the block)
-Take off the inspection plate that is right in front of the transfer case and make sure the converter bolts are tight
-Check and make sure the connectors on the neutral safety switch(NSS) plug and transmission control unit(TCU) plug are securely attached and clean.

These automatic transmissions are strong but if something is not acting right, fix it before you damage something internally on it.

This sounds like you are either low on ATF or your pump in the transmission is going out. Be sure to let the car fully warm up, put it in every gear for a few seconds, place the car in neutral with the parking break on, and then check the fluid level.

Op has done that as stated in first post. Seal is rolled somewhere and it's having to build normal line pressure to engage instead of it happening almost immediately like it should. Time to pull the trans to tear down and inspect. I've been in the transmission business for over 10 years and that's what it's looking like to me

He said he checked it but with his lack of knowledge with vehicles (by reading his posts), there is a chance he checked the car in park which will show the fluid level about a quart higher than it actually is (Ask me how I know). This will cause exactly what he is describing.

hahahaha im a 19 years old , and this is my first car , and YES i have no experience but i read online about cars .... and i checked the car in N!!! hehehehe didnot check it in D or P ... i actually kept changing gears etc then i put it on N and checked!

This is a possibility if it's checked in park vs neutral @Boomdeeze. He said he checked it when it was warmed up but if not checked in proper gear then you are ABSOLUTELY correct. Yes, sounds like he isn't as car savvy as we are :D:thumb:
anyways bro , it wil take like 10 mins to upload the vidoes, other than that i have alot to tell u ,
1) there is a whining noise which wil be shown in the video , whining noise comes only when its put on reverse.
2) i kept puting D going front abit and reversing , so i tried gear number one ( its automatic) and all of a sudden the car is moving reverse????????????????? i pressed on the peddle abit and it jumped to the front ........

oh and the shifter thing , idk what its called its above the tranny , when u change gears its supposed to move , in my tranny its not changing everytime . (10mins for uplaoding the videos , i will get it transfered through my phone to my laptop )
