Actually a welded diff/spool is capable of a 100/0 and 0/100 torque split. You can have zero traction with the front tires and 100% of the torque goes to the rear, and vice versa.I cant wait to get the dogbox in the car, there is two options a diff or a spool. Im assuming for street use I want the diff? Does the spool lock the drivetrain 50/50? Im guessing the spool is stronger?
I can make the car essentially rwd?Actually a welded diff/spool is capable of a 100/0 and 0/100 torque split. You can have zero traction with the front tires and 100% of the torque goes to the rear, and vice versa.

. You would need to remove the front axles and install the inner cups into the trans. You can also make it fwd by removing the transfer case. This is with a welded diff of course.I can make the car essentially rwd?
ahh, my car sits in a garage most of the time. How is it on the road? Im assuming at slow speeds its at it worse yes?. You would need to remove the front axles and install the inner cups into the trans. You can also make it fwd by removing the transfer case. This is with a welded diff of course.
I will say this though... i welded my center diff and its deff not for an everyday street car. It binds up in tight turns/parking lots. You get a lot of looks when the tires are chirping and hopping haha

I purchased a 1990 awd transmission from a local junker, im going to attempt to do a rebuild myself, see how it goes......Just for the hell of it of course. My only worry is, where in the hell am I going to get parts?Ahh so your cams are a little meaner then my hks272s....
I'm debating when I build my head do I put my hks272s in, Or my bc280s
Prob start out with the 272s, sell the bc280s.. And get either kelford 280(ish)s or s3's..
Right now I'm focusing on ripping apart my brand new trans to get the gearsets shot peened...
First time opening up a trans. Should be interesting..

Amsrn13 remeber to use a 90 trans you need the shifter cables to match.
Geeb it acts exactly like a truck (my trucks the same ). Basically you convert it to 4wd instead of awd. No more slipping. Just full time traction haha
