Hey doubleclutch how did you mount your subs?..ive been thinking about getting some but didn't want to lose all of my trunk space with a big box
I built and wrapped the box myself because everything else was too big. the box is held in place on the back by L brackets. It make getting to the spare tire a pain, but for everything else it isnt bad. It still leaves a little bit of space for stuff.

I really like it..very clean work. I've been learning alot with this car..finally fixed some odds and ends, finally got my check engine light to go of( front 02 sensor) now she's driving smooth..still fun for now but call me crazy bit it feels like it wants more power LOL

Thanks guys. The vinyl hides a lot of my shortcomings with woodwork. It is technically too small of a volume for that much sub, but i didn't notice much of a difference in sound quality (and I am pretty picky).

Hey do you guys know if the factory wheels hold any value? I'd like to change to the 17 gsx factory wheels and was looko ng for a trade or to sell these and use the money to buy the gsx wheels..waste of time or no?

Could probably get SOMEthing for them if they're really clean. I bought a single replacement for about 130 new online when I ended up with a cracked rim. But no, not really. The chrome does look really nice though, I have the matte ones.

So I figure I'm just gonna dip the wheels a gloss black tomorrow pics soon to come..but got bored today and ordered my fuel pump (walbro 255 In tank pump) and was wondering what size injector do I need? I don't see myself going beyond 250-300 wheel, do I really need 1100cc injectors for that? Or can i get away with a 550cc or a 650cc?

You could, but you might want to go ethanol which would be in the 1100cc range. When you get link (which you have to ahve to go with bigger injectors) it will be able to control the 1100s fine so it really isn't an issue.

EVO injectors could serve you well if that's your goal but realistically at least 850s because you might decide to go for more power in the future. Also before you install that walbro you'll need an AFPR first.

Thanks for that bit of info..second thing is there a way to buy a plug and play Dsmlink? Where I can just unplug one and plug in a new ecu ready to tune?

yes and no. You need an EPPROM ECU, which you don't have being that your's is a 98. You have a black box ECU most likely. What you need to do is buy a EPPROM ECU (there is a ton of information on how to find one) and send it to ECMLink (DSMLink) to get it chipped. Once that is done you simply switch them out, swap your plug wires (real simple) and you should be good to go. As long as your car is mostly stock, you should be driving around in an hour.

That's not the same area I sent the pic of?

Finally got around to dipping the wheels, not sure if I'm gonna leave them matte or gloss them guess I'll give it a week and see how I feel..overall the dipping process was super easy and I like the outcome...also got around to "repairing" a crack in the front bumper little version of drift stiches I like it LOL but still trying to find out if I have this black box ecu..from what I'm seeiing it doesn't look like it

So I'm back again and I couldn't stay away from ordering parts..so today I ordered some 750cc injectors a walbro 255 fuel pump and a AFPR from a member on here..got a really good deal..also confirmed I have the black box ecu so I guess the next thing to do is get the tactrix cable and go from there..getting closer and closer to being ready for the 16g..

Yes that large harness, follow where it goes to the right (towards you) and it's right there beneath the radio.

So I was just updating my mod lost in my profile..and as I was listing off everything I needed for a 16g i...i i think I'm there guys, please look over my mod list and see if I'm skipping something.. but other then that nothing new..id like to here how some of you all are progressing..anybody have any builds I can follow?

You listed on your profile that you have a 14B but in the photos on page two it looks like you have the stock Garrett turbo. Meaning you will need a couple hardware items in order for the Mitsu turbo to bolt up. Also don't just get any 16G, look for an EVO 3 version and port the turbine housing for best results.

Looks like you have most of the supporting mods though, personally I'd also throw on a fmic with a good J pipe (large OD not one of those that necks down).
