John and I played tag all day but never got to meet up.
I ended up leaving earlier then I was expecting when I started seeing rain and heard thunder. Had a blast and already am planning on making a full weekend of it next year. And bringing the whole family.
Didn't realize there was an HPDE event going on so will definetly bring the eclipse next year and the wife will bring the jeep for the off road coarse.
Can't wait to hear the updates from john. I know he had a tire issue first round.

I'm still waiting on at least some media. Been recovering to even bother with the video and data. So it'll be a few more days.

SPOILER ALERT - no tire explosions

So I am still waiting on some media to share and do a write up, but since I just shared these on YouTube already I might as well share them here too! :D

Well I must say those brakes are loud.

What's your review compared to the old Carbotech ones (I know you said they basically are made by the original owner of carbotech) but I ask as I would like to purchase rotors and pads next week.
They will be dedicated track set.
And per recommendation from my brother just blank/solid rotors.
Also have to say the rear view camera angle I think is my new favorite. Watching you pull away/ pass all those cars made me wonder how much HP is your car making? I can't recall reading it anywhere other then your sig. Is it up to date? You seemed to pull away from everything around you.

So in this session I was actually bedding the rear pads in. I was going to do that in warm-up but the screw in the tire foiled that plan. That's part of the squealing likely. Also sometimes pad compounds react slightly differently noise-wise with different rotor materials, and while I was using this compound before on the OEM Evo 9 rear rotors, I just switched to Girodisc 2-piece rear rotors which almost certainly are different.

The G-LOC pads were performing identically from what I could tell. The reason my brake performance is weird is that I lost ABS and I was bedding the rear pads. Though mostly the ABS, I believe the lockups show I have been using the ABS as a crutch to hide the rear lockup potential with this rear compound on my car. So next time out I'm going to drop back one level to the G-LOC R10 compounds. Give G-LOC a call, asked for Danny, mention me, and you just may get a small discount (can't promise anything, but he did this for people at Carbotech). If nothing else it's supporting me since it shows his return on investment in helping me out.

Blank or slotted rotors are great, smart choice.

The rear camera is really neat, right? It really makes pulling away from people, but also launching out of slower turns much more dramatic. I was surprised. It was an experiment but I think I'm leaving it there :)

I actually had turned the boost up a bit here from my normal TT2 trim, experimenting. I was probably around 400whp. I did pull away from those cars but they weren't all that fast. The Ariel Atoms have the potential for a sub 2-min time on the track as I know that one of the owners of TMI, manufacturers of the Atom in North America, took both these specific Ariel Atoms on track before selling them and ran I think 1:58. The two atoms I think ran 2:02? I forget. The camaro from the early 2000s (I don't know my camaros beyond that it originally had an LS1), don't know anything about him. The white 944 was a NASA TT1 car so he should be way above me in power but... I ran away from him. The black porsche I also don't know anything about. We'll just have to see what the upcoming GRM issue says about those cars. The only one I know much about is the vintage camaro in the beginning of the full rear footage video, he's a good friend of mine, and he's at 475whp but he can't really jump out of turns like me.
