No. Your ECU needs a CAS signal. The engine will not run without it.

I am still getting a p0340 code with the black hall effect HAS and this is the second one I have purchased. Is there anything I can do to fix this problem? Thanks

You understand a code doesn't necessarily mean the sensor is bad.
