I've been lazy lately, waiting for a welded valve cover setup to come in, as soon as I get this thing back up and running I'll be switching over to SD.. Keep everyone posted.

Welded valve cover is in! Now I need to talk to Calan about a catch can and figure out my intake pipe setup and maybe I'll be rolling here in a week or two.

Just found out today that me n ladies little bundle of joy is going to be a girl!

Thank you! Now we just need to figure out a name... and I need to figure out what I'm doing for a catch can so I can turn the boost back up! I like my forester xt but I miss my GSX!

I did, 5-6 week wait time. I may order a catch can from him yet but I'm following a recommendation from GST with PSI at the moment to get the car running for the time being

Ended up ordering a catch can from Gamble garage, he came recommended so I'll give it a shot. All I'm waiting on now is the weather to fully break so I can paint this new welded valve cover, then I can start tuning with the v1 68hta!

Sort of DSM related, cars been running good on the v1 68hta around 24psi right now, looking into an SD swap. Went down to NC to visit my sister this past weekend and stopped in Maryland to meet a fellow DSMer.. we were supposed to meet at his house then his car broke down..

Got back to his place and finally got to see this beast in person.. Pictures honestly don't do it justice guys, 1837 is beautiful, and the car is insane to ride in.. @GST with PSI the offer still stands for you to come up and use the lift to swap trannies! LOL

Had a good time hanging out with Brett and his wife before heading down to NC, Almost bought a turbo 4g63 mighty max while I was down there but with the girlfriend being pregnant I have more pressing issues.

Thanks again Brett!

I'm gonna be researching doing a seat swap on this thing and I'll be keeping you guys updated on what else is going on. An 06 Ion redline came in with recaros and I'm eyeballing them hard. My gfs Impreza has '12 WRX seats, my Forester turbo has 05 STI seats and I think I'm just used to racing style bucket seats, anything else feels weird.

Small update guys, I've been working on the car, tweaking things here and there chasing some small oil leaks.. and I turned the boost up in 2nd gear and really broke traction today around 28psi.. but then got home and popped the hood to this....

I thought I was done fighting the dipstick popping out nonsense but apparently we're back at it..

Nope.. I haven't been having that many issues lately, I have a catch can.. and a valve cover.. and AN lines.. the only thing I dont have is the vacuum line from the CC to the intake because... I'm lazy. Now that I know I HAVE to do something about it I suppose I might as well. I'm just surprised it took this long to pop back up, I was similar problems last year with the v2 but when I switched turbos it went away, or so i thought.

Nice I'm gonna get my Calan catch can thanks summer just need another valve cover welcome back. Congrats

Order ahead of time, when I talked to Calan they were several weeks out for a build time.. In hindsight I should of just bought one back when I was looking at them.

Well.. I've been sidetracked with a few pet projects.. an 06outlander recently came into work.. So I'm grabbing the caliper brackets! Just picked up a set of 17s for the GSX as well.

Also.. I've been working on this..

Seats came out of an 06 Ion Redline.. They are extremely comfortable.. but they also do not fit.. AT ALL. Passenger side is almost done.. Driver's side will be even more difficult. I do not recommend attempting this swap.

Updates!! Here we go..

Looks good doesn't it? Too bad it doesn't fit.

The brackets I used for the drivers side were height adjustable.. and well. that didn't work out so hot. I'm going back to the drawing board on these. Currently they physically fit but the drivers side sags hard on the drivers side.

Then.. A few days ago THIS happened.

That was the start of it.. they got up to about golf ball sized.. thankfully I didn't have the GSX in this.. but I was driving the Forester.

And apparently my insurance agent decided not to put comp or collision on my cars like I asked him before he got fired. Go figure.. So now I'm screwed.

Catch can fun! Finally got around to working on this damn thing.. after I lit the car on fire a week or so ago.

I do have to say this, as much as I'd been putting off running AN lines because I thought they'd be a nightmare, it wasn't so bad.. a little annoying trying to figure out how to route it all but I was using -10AN vibrant pushlock hose from STM. Good stuff.. just fair warning, make sure you get your lengths right because once you get those pushlock fittings on they're a PAIN to get off.

Also.. Decided to put my @Gamble97 spark plug cover back on to go with the catch can I purchased from him a few weeks back, thanks again it looks amazing!

The only issue I was having with it was it was squishing my NGK plug wires.. so I decided to get a bit creative. I grabbed some stainless bolts from the top of an acura TL (all the 99-03 3.2 acura TLs/CLs use stainless mounting hardware on the upper intakes.) so I took some of those.. and some vacuum line. and.. well you get it. I made spacers. Yeah. Pictures.

Yeah.. I'm still trying to clean up the oil mess from when I decided to do a 3rd-4th pull and puke oil all over the engine bay and it lit my manifold blanket on fire :/slowly but surely.

Guys! I bought some coilovers! Feal 441s, I can't thank the seller enough for hooking me up, and now that I've got them installed I absolutely love them. It was a bit of a learning curve at first getting them installed and figuring out where I wanted the height to be, I was aiming for a bit of a "raked" look, the back end up a bit compared to the front. My car has always had horrible issues with the back end squatting hard, hopefully this helps. Pictures.

Don't judge the chair! It's survived a lot.

Still playing with the v1 68hta at 30psi. It's doing very well.. next step is some evo8 enkeis, new tires.. and.. that's about it. I've got bigger things to worry about. Daughter was born on 7/3/17 at 3am. Since then everything has kind of taken a back seat.

More updates

New plates arrived :)

And lastly.. got the stock foglights back in.. I really like how it looks as it is.
output (1).jpg

Will get new plates on tomorrow morning.. I keep staring at the built transmission/tcase and southbend clutch setup.. Maybe one day soon.

Update! Sort of. I'm at work so not much in the direction of pictures. my TOB exploded.. which caused a bunch of other issues. so as of right now I have the "built" transmission and transfer case in.. but the shop that built it never put a new output shaft seal in it. so it's leaking. So is my "fresh" transfer case.:mad:

Good news is I got that southbend clutch setup in and so far I love it! trying to get used to the light pedal but beyond that it's doing great. have another 150 miles before break-in though.

Also picked up a new turbo.. Justin built for me. It's an hx40 stuffed in a 35 comp cover.. so that'll be fun.

Right now I'm just collecting parts.. We're moving here in a few months, trying to buy a house.. I never knew that it was going to be such an ordeal, but since I'm buying it from family I think that's where my issues are coming from..

So this winter I've got a BSF front mustache bar.. holset swap. change that input shaft seal swap transfer cases.. oh and pull and re-weld my pedal assembly. FUN STUFF. :)
