I just got all the parts in the mail for my fuel pump rewire and I didn't realize I accidentally ordered a 30a maxi fuse inline holder instead of the standard size found in most kits. Is it OK to use this or should I get the standard size? If anything I would assume the maxi fuse is better, though I thought they were usually only used in higher voltage applications.

You're fine, it just adds minor cost to replacing it if it were to blow.

You can buy the relay for like ten bucks at an auto parts store. Then if u have extra amp wiring laying around the rewire will cost you like ten bucks. Or just buy the rewire from stm.

I got a relay and pigtail harness for $5, waterproof 10ga maxi fuse and holder for $4, the 10ga stranded wire is 38¢ a foot a home depot. You'd be nuts to order a $40 kit. My QUESTION WAS IS A MAXI FUSE OK. Thanks! RESOLVED
