If you were to put 20" rims on your car it would look like a monster truck. But if you want to reuse your tires just get 15" rims and you'll be good to go

There is no need to put 20" on eclipse. If you do they might have some 20" spinning hubcaps at Walmart :hellyeah::hellyeah::hellyeah:
JK bud ROFL You need to know other dimensions as well not just 20" and thats it but again noooooo need to go that big

I know 20" is big but i want something not to big or to small and just want it to look like and street u know? Yes im new to this and never had to buy rims b4 than again this is my first car LOL sooner or latter i want to fix it up and get one with a turbo and do alot more with

Np bud, try to find some pictures of your car here with some nice wheels and when you do, ask the owner whatvis the wheel size and how much did they drop It.

Do you have a budget set for the new rims and tires?

With potholes we have here I never wanted anything larger than 17" plus the car accelerates faster with smaller wheels and corners better if you don't "stretch" your tires.

I think 18s are the max that should be on a 2g. 17s work really nice as well. Problem is, more wheel = less tire = more bumpy ride and higher chance of wheel crack

More wheel = more tire

The larger the wheel the greater the contact patch surface front to back. This is exactly why modern race cars run 18-19in wheels now

Edit: just reed your post with context, you are referring to sidewall height and are correct. Bigger wheel = less sidewall

I went from 235/45/17 to 255/35/18 and couldn't be happier. Plus do loss in power, but better cornering.
I love the new look too!

I've run 18's on my 2G for years now, no complaints at all. 17's also look pretty good and perform well. I have a friend up here that has 19's on his 2G. I think they look too big personally, and the ride with those and the Tokico shocks that he has makes for a VERY stiff ride on our crappy roads.
