Lots of people have had block clearance issues with that mani and anything bigger than a .63.

I've done a lot of testing with cams, cam timing, and hot sides with a fp 3586. From my testing I would conclude that a .63 housing would be great with a cast wheel 35r on e85 or racegas. The .63 spools faster than the .82, but makes power almost exactly the same up to almost 600hp at the same boost level. I think a little more boost could max a cast wheel 3582 out with a .63.

Recently I ordered a no name brand mani from ebay and I have a 35r as well. I can tell you right now that it will not clear right out of the box. Like, at all. The side of the compressor housing hits the block and it doesn't matter how you clock it. But, what you can do is grab a buddy who welds, or if you can weld yourself.. thats even better. Take a cutting wheel to the turbo flange (radiator facing side) and go do a clean cut, all the way down the sides as well. Leave a little sliver of metal holding the flange on (block side). Put it in a vice or hold it with all your might and beat the piss out of it with a rubber mallet until it's clocked 5ish degrees clockwise. Mock up your turbo and see if it fits. Rinse and repeat until it does. Make sure your turbo is clocked exactly how you plan on putting it in the car and then weld the manifold back up.

Or if that scares you, just find a manifold that will clear a 35r, I'm sure they're out there.... I just haven't done any homework on it. But I'm sure they ain't cheap.

That cast thing works pretty good. I've gone 137 on one with a Hy35. You could probably get a .82 on it but you need to space it out with a head flange and extra long exhaust studs
