Hi guys,

Car ran great last fall before I put it away for winter. Over winter I changed the setup. I installed the following.

HX35
SMIM
Tubular Manifold
Tial WG
FMIC (already on car)
ECMlink v3
Wally 450
Motor mounts
SD kit
PTE 1600cc
Waldron fuel filter and new 6an lines
AFPR set to 43psi
Timing is on point
Grounds are good
Battery is fully charged

So theres a quick rundown, theres a quick rundown. Car ran great no issues. Switched to e85, turned on link set base fuel at -58.2% and 450 usecs. Car wont start. Compression is fine, the motor itself has not been touched other than the bolt ons.

Injectors have been tested, taken out, manually tested. Car is getting fuel.

Spark has been checked and verified, I see the plugs arcing, checked both coil packs and plugs/wires.

Looking for some other input, it has the 3 basic, air, spark, fuel.

I put my stock 450s in and it ran for a bit, roughly but at least ran. Since cleaning and trying my 1600ccs, nothing. However i have taken them out of the car and "bumped them" and they spit e85 fuel just fine.

What do you think it could be? At this point I am guessing it must be something with the tuning on e85 in link.

Get a log of you trying to start it. We will be able to see all of your ECU settings.

Did you just switch to SD? Sensors all assigned to the proper pins? Double check your timing, and all electrical connections. If everything is in order, its probably something with your ECU config.

Well you have spark, air and fuel. I assume injector pulse has been checked, I also assume spark has been checked by installing a spark tester, and air I assume has been checked with vacuum gauge. I also assume fuel pressure has been checked and compression. If all of those are correct what we have to work with: incorrect ignition timing, incorrect mechanical timing, flooding, missing sensors inputs. By seeing the log maybe we can pick something out of it. I would assume if we are missing crank sensor then we would not have injector pulse. If we have compression then I would assume mechanical timing is good. That leaves me with flooded. At least that's where I would start. Pull the plugs and see if they are wet, smell them and see if they smell like fuel. Other wise we need to backtrace and start eliminating the basics.

Not enough fuel e85 requires at least a 30-40 percentage enrichment increase especially when cold starting settings are probably off for e85 tune

I have tested the fuel, it is true e85. I have a tester, its actually e86. I will post a log shortly today.

As far as not enough fuel, im runnning 1600s, its more than enough fuel.

Just switched to SD, and e85 at the same time. Ill post the log today.

Here are 2 logs I have when I tried to crank over, it sputtered a bit.

I just installed new plugs and set gap to .020 based on recommendation.

There are 2 things I would do. The first is that the PTE injectors are actually overrated by about 6-8% at 43 psi so you probably need a little more global fuel. Try -55% that's what it came to with that taken into account. Also the ecmlink page only shows PTE injectors up to 1000cc but the trend is that their larger injectors need more deadtime so bump it up to 500 for starters and gradually increase from there if it seems like lack of fuel is the problem. Your SD table should have more than enough fuel at idle with where that range is set right now. Once the car starts and your injector settings are correct you may even have to pump it down a little.

Also go ahead and list your sensors on the datalogging table on the inputs tab. As you're working on the tune it'll help you see whats going on. I've attached mine as an example.

Question for ya regarding my SD kit, I have the omni 4 bar map sensor bolted to the manifold and using the stock plug, and then have the sd cable attached to my sensor and the stock maf plugged into that.

I was told to leave the orange connector unplugged. Is this correct?

It seems to be getting good power? Better check cranking voltage. Battery may be dead or there is a bad connection. I had this problem when I bought my car and the battery was relocated.

Yes that is correct. The orange one is for a GM map sensor.

You get the fuel settings changed to my previous post? If its close but still not quite there try 550 deadtime. Can you log your wideband?

Blew a fuse and no stores locally carry 150ANL fuses close to me so till tomorrow i cant do anything. Car is almost firing and at -53.1 and 450 usecs. Seemed like it was almost firing better at 450 usecs than 500.

The PTE 1600 injectors aren't on the list because they are just modified Bosch plugs. In ecmlink it says to set them at 450 deadtime.

If i can find another fuse I can try more tonight, as far as wideband idk how to log it LOL.
