Hello,foreign friends!!

I created this thread to ask questions about starting business in USA.

The point of my life always was to collect 0,5 mln dollars and emigrate to USA

But the longer i live in Ukraine than my disappointment continue to rise.
Photos below is my new workshop which was built in half of year.
This is my 5th workshop.

I am not a man who claims country in all his troubles but it is really hard to do business here.
Hard and not interesting indeed!

So there are some questions:

-How much money do i need to start (internetshop, workshop, showroom or something) ?
-Which state will be the best to start ?
-Can I start business with visa for work?
-How much money should i spend for living in a month
-What about insurance?

I live in Washington state and there are a lot of ukrainian and russian families with business in construction and auto repair/auto sales. They have their own churches as well, Washington has a good mixture of different nationalities and there are incentives for people in other countries to immigrate here and start their own business.

I cannot really answer your other questions but I think you need to network with other Ukranians that are in America and they can connect you with the right people.

I have already learnt some information. It's really easy to start in USA. I can do my business as foreign citizen!! It costs near 4000$. And i can do almost everything online.

I think about California.

Which services can i do the best in USA??
How old cars are in there??
Are welding and bodyrepair actual??
How do American citizens attitude to Ukranians ?

Looking forward for answers . Best regards

I work at a salvage yard and we have a wide variety of foreigners come in that own their own shops, from a sales point of view it depends on your attitude, There are shop owners we really like and take good care of, and there are guys that walk in that think because they own a speed shop we should bend over backwards for them. I'd say early 2000s to 2010 foreign cars is mostly what I see from my area. A lot of BMW/Lexus/Audi orders. As far as american citizens attitude in general.. I think it depends on where you go. Even in upstate NY we're having issues with hate crimes, it's gotten a lot worse the past 4 months.

Thanks for answering!!
What do you think about LA to start? How expensive is it?

About my attitude to auto business and customers ,i can say that i am real pro. It's not going to be a problem.
I have 10 years of experience though I'm only 27.I have knowledge in advertisment, management, economy etc.
I have two educations. One of them called faculty of cars and cars industry..
By this i have powerful team and relatives in Canada(don't say to go there)) ).

Problem is that i know almost everything about business here. And it has become boring for me. Two more years and i will get to the top. I have nothing to do here.I want a challenge. My Next point is to build 8sec drag car. Here it is too expensive and simply silly.

I have business idea with import/export of cars. It's not easy to realize but it is possible.

I would not recommend trying to start a business in the state of California, the cost of living is so high and there are many restrictions that other states do not have. In America it is full of migrants so it does not matter if you are Ukrainian, Russian, Romanian etc... Everyone is from somewhere else, Like I said in Washington we grow up and go to school with Ukrainians,Russians etc... it does not matter. Ideally you want to be somewhere that is culturally diverse with a low cost of living and that has a good network of Ukrainian business and families that can help connect you to the right people.

If you do not want to do that then the only hardship is the language barrier, Americans get frustrated when they cannot communicate with any business or understand the business owners and operators. Other than that as long as you are not a neo nazi or into any of that stuff you should have no problem.

Ukranians usually emigrate to Israel. There they rent a flat for 1000$ and spend about 50-100$ on food and i didn't mention gas etc.+.Are cost of living is higher in California ??Can you say numbers ?

Idea is to do international company. My language is not bad.I don't worry about barrier))

About my nickname i can say only that this is a name of hardcore ukranian band))
