I've recently bought this 1998 Gsx for a decent price but now I am realizing it's a wiring nightmare. The guy had the headlight wiring/tailight wiring ran together with a relay and inline fuse/switch. The previous owner did a fuse box relocation to the glove box. On the way home the headlights went out.. Any ideas where all these wires go to get the headlights to come on how they are suppose to with the switch on the steering wheel? Thank you!

I've done a fuse box relocation, and none of those even look like the right color wires for the headlights from what I can remember.
Fastest way to figure out where they go is simply follow them to whatever the other end is connected to.
The FSM electrical section will be a big help.

Damn, whoever actually did that wiring did a horribly shitty job. I've bought badly wired cars, but not that bad. I think though, your best option would be to pull all that wiring out, and put a fresh harness back in so you know you have all the wires in the proper locations.

Also the last picture where I have the yellow and brown wire from under the dash, that goes down to a green wire and white I believe that run up into the steering column.

What kind of harness would I have to get to replace this garbage? And would anyone have some pics or a diagram of where everything connects too? Thanks for the help!

I found a 95-99 eclipse/talon gst/gsx interior dash wiring harness on Miller import parts. Would replacing that fix my problems do you guys think? Or would that not work with the fuse box relocation?

Miller imports would have everything you need. Send them a message as to what you're looking for, Chassis and engine harnesses, they're great to deal with and have pretty fair prices. Also if you download the complete FSM and start reading from the first, it explains a lot and gives you a crash course on how to read the schematics, wiring colors, how to identify and find each plug what the numbers mean. It's not that bad, I was pretty intimidated with wiring at one point but after owning a paper copy of the FSM, I'm not that intimidated anymore.

Okay thanks a lot guys. I'm not sure it's the engine harness that's giving me all the problems in the car here. Here's a video of what I'm looking at so hopefully that will give you guys a pov as if you were in the car. The tail lights come on when I turn the key on, so that's fine. Now I just want to get rid of all these wires with the relay/switch and get it to come on when I turn the knob on the steering column.
