So I found a junkyard car that I'm going to pull my non turbo 1g engine from. 169k miles. The car doesn't have a lot of body damage so I'm hoping the engine isn't the reason it's at a junk yard.
It looks good from the outside. I'm going to check the timing belt, oil for metal shavings, and potentially lower end bearings when I pull the engine.
Anyways, this will be my first project where I need a new wire harness. Does anyone have experience pulling the wire harness from a car? Anything to watch for?
Can I pull the engine harness and car harness without removing the dash? (Junkyard car so I can tear it up)
Also, it's a 1g Plymouth rs. Anyone want any parts off the car while I'm there?
