Hey all, Newb here again, thanks for all the help in my previous thread BTW it was excellent.

In my quest to prepare my new (to me) 99 GSX for the switch to e85 I have been looking into the v3 upgrade for dsmlink as well as bigger injectors. I snagged the resistor bypass plug that I knew I'd need and my dad surprised me today with a box. He jumping online and snagged me a set after hearing me yammer on about bigger high impedance injectors.

They just arrived and after looking at them and comparing them to other images online and the injectors I pulled out of my car I am worried that he ordered the wrong ones or the wrong ones were sent.

Anyone out there know if the injectors from the link below will work in my car or do I get to start the ever so fun returns process? Can I just use the "spacer" at the bottom from my other injectors instead of or with the o-ring?

Thanks in advance.

I'm not trying to sound like a dick, what your dad did for you was very thoughtful, but having a reliable flow matched set of fuel injectors is a critical component to not blowing your car up. There's a reason why those Hi-Z 1200cc injectors are half the price of a companies like Fuel Injector Clinic (FIC) or Injector Dynamics (ID).

Flow matched injectors are important to get the car tuned right. Lets assume the injector you put in cylinder #1 is actually flowing 1200cc but the injector in cylinder #4 (because it isn't flow matched) is flowing 1125cc. Might not seem like much but when you're into boost that cylinder will lean out and potentially cost you $1000+ in engine rebuild/repair.

Trust me, the additional $200 for a set of FIC or ID injectors is worth it in the long run.

Not a dick at all man, I appreciate all the help I can get and I'd rather hear it straight so no worries.

I definitely understand what you're saying about flow matching to protect the engine.

Being that the gifted injectors are cheaper should I assume the flow matching sheet that came with them is B.S.? According to the sheet they've been tested and matched but now I'm concerned.

On a side note, if I can return them, do they even fit the eclipse engine? They look different and I want to let them know their listing is jacked.

Thanks again for all the help everyone

They probably already know their listing is jacked, have you seen their website?

Not something I'd trust operating fueling duties to my engine whether they fit or not bud.

You know what I find strange about that ASNU injector testing facility? :hmm:

ASNU Address :
ASNU USA
12936 SE Suzanne Drive
Hobe Sound, Florida 33455
Fuel Injector Clinic (FIC) :
Fuel Injector Clinic
12938 SE Suzanne Drive
Hobe Sound, FL 33455

I grabbed the Injector report that came with the package and it says the following -

Tests performance at 3, 3.5 and 4 Bar fuel rail pressure

Injector 1 thru 4 - Static Flow cc/min 1200 @ 3 Bar 43.5 psi
Injector 1 thru 4 - Static Flow cc/min 1308 @ 3.5 Bar 50.8 psi
Injector 1 thru 4 - Static Flow cc/min 1408 @ 4 Bar 58.0 psi

Impedance - 13.5 ohms- Dead Time (latency) - 2.4 ms @ 14 Volts

The address is pretty interesting too. Never thought a gift of injectors would be such a mystery, LOL

Here's what a 2150cc injector FIC data match sheet looks like. As you can see each injector they engrave a serial number into, which correlates to the data for EACH injector and how they tested on their bench.

Looks like I'll be setting up a return on Monday and ordering injectors when I order v3 dsmlink. Crazy what you can find online these days being peddled as legit, makes me want to buy a hammer and a plane ticket and go on the hunt, LOL.

Thanks for all the info guys, I appreciate it

I kinda doubt fic has a company based out of china LOL. Same area you can get knock off oakleys from that say they are real. More like this company is trying to claim they are legit to get us buyers. Why not ask @Fuel Injector Clinic ;)

Does anyone have experience with buying USED injectors? Been in the market for some and was curious to know what to look out for when buying used or should I just fork over the cash and buy new? Im leaning towards FIC 750's, they're $300 from streettunedmotorsport.com (part #IS126-0750)

All my injectors have been used ;). Not a single issue just buy from a good seller. I sent my last set to fic for cleaning and data match just to be safe. Didn't really need to but got peace of mind and a flow sheet.

$25/injector, so $100. If you buy a new set from them and have old FIC's they will clean them and send you a data sheet for free! How is that for customer service, Thanks @FIC!!!

Hey guys, I just want to make sure there's no confusion here -- it looks like there are 3 companies that are being discussed here:

1) this ebay company that the OP bought his injectors from, Deleen?
2) Fuel Injector Clinic
3) ASNU

Wanted to make sure there was no confusion between the cheap eBay injectors and Fuel Injector Clinic or ASNU, which don't have anything to do with these. I think the FIC and ASNU name were just brought up as higher quality alternatives to what the OP has. Please see below for more info...

You know what I find strange about that ASNU injector testing facility? :hmm:

Ha... Fuel Injector Clinic (which is based in Florida) and ASNU (which is based in London) are two separate companies, with two separate owners. We have worked with them on projects in the past, and we do handle the US distribution of ASNU's performance injector line which is why you see the "ASNU USA" address there. Not a secret! :).

It sounds like FIC setup a sister company to sell cheap crap so they can hit both ends of the market.
See above about the three different companies here -- hope you're not confusing things. Neither Fuel Injector Clinic or ASNU are "cheap" and I can't imagine that company would have any interest in trying to compete at the very bottom end of the market.

This is common, it's a preemptive move to battle the competition. Common in an open market. The company still makes money by rebranding as their own competition.

Example is Wd40 vs an "off brand" , big difference in cost/volume yet made by same company.
Please see response above this one, again just making sure there's no confusing the cheap eBay brands with Fuel Injector Clinic or ASNU!

We don't discourage people from purchasing used injectors if they are from a name brand company you trust, BUT we ALWAYS recommend having them flow tested and cleaned if necessary. Used injectors are a mystery, and many of them have sat around for a period of time as well. It is highly recommended to have them flow tested and cleaned if necessary so please budget for that $15-$25 per injector and make sure that the used price still makes sense to you.

$25/injector, so $100. If you buy a new set from them and have old FIC's they will clean them and send you a data sheet for free! How is that for customer service, Thanks @FIC!!!
We are at your service... :).

Yes you are Bryan. As soon as I get a chance to get my NEW FIC 1800's in, I will be sending you my FIC 1650's for your service as per Tim. FIC is the only company that I use for my injector needs, thanks for the great service in the past and future and for supporting this platform!

Thought I'd chime in again too. I ended up buying the FIC 1120s when I snagged DSMLink and couldn't be happier. As stated I'm a total newb with this car and any of the upgrades I've been going through but they were simple to install and fired right up. Instantly noticed my car running better and if it wasn't for the other issues I'm dealing with I'd be bombing around happy as can be.

In short, FIC = Good, or possibly grrrreat, I'm not a cartoon tiger though so I'm not sure.
