Noob wheel question

I did search and found some info, but it was more like this... 17x8 with +38 offset with tires 235/45 r17 only rub when I have 4 people in the car. Or they will rub with sometimes, or if lowered 1-2 inchs, or when I turn real shape, ect.

So I am woundering will EVOIX wheels and tires ( 17x8 with +38 offset with tires 235/45 r17 ) fit on a stock 2gb talon and also will they fit with Koni yellows and prokit springs? Thanks for any help.

I seen that thread, it shows that 235/45/17 with +38 has the letter F in yellow with a #10, so per the OP of that thread he wants to stay in all green, however I see a few people post that they run the EVO IX fine, its a bit confusing

I had prokits with evo 9 wheels with at 245 tire and it didn't rub.

It is dependent on your set up. It is yellow because it could be dependent on the factory tire specifications as stated in the post or it could be on how low your car is. Everyone has different set ups. They only way you will know is if you try. Worst case scenario you have to roll your fenders or raise your car up a bit.

I have run 245/40/17 on my car before and mine would rub on the fender if I went over a big bump. Nothing crazy though.

i have 235/40/18's on my car with a 1.5" drop. I don't rub at all. But, i don't know the width of my rims.

Just so you know, it's not the width that matters, it's the offset that matters

Thanks guys, the wheels I'm looking at are Evo IX Enkei wheels with 235/45 r17 Hankook v12 evos. I am rather sure 235/40's would fit, its the 45 that bugs me even though I am running a 215/50/17 right now

as for stock, I think the 235/45 17's should work but the lowering set-up I want to use could call for a tire change in the future.
