so i have some 18" wheels (18 x8.75 +36 offset) and i did a lot of research and found out 225/45/R18 are the best for the 18" wheels for my 96 Eclipse. I got a call from someone with some tires for sale. Either 225/60 or 235/55. Does anyone know if these will fit on the Eclipse? Car is currently not lowered, but i may lower it eventually. I am planning on getting aftermarket fenders so i may be able to trim them if needed for fitment. ill try doing more research.. thank you

I run 225-40R18 because they are closer to the OEM circumference so my speedo is not off as much.

Doesn't have the monster truck tire sizes you are curious about but...

It's normally recommended to try to stick to a rolling diameter that is close to stock as Mello stated above.
Also you don't have a profile, are you awd or fwd?
I would stay away from those used tires regardless of your answer as the sizes are way to big (sidewall profile)

225/40R18 is the closest your will get to factory tire height (assuming your car is fwd) at just under ¼" taller than the stock 205/55R16. The 225/60 would be more than 3½" taller than stock, and that's not good at all.

I'm kinda in the same situation, but my wheels are 18x9.5(front) and 18x10.5(rear) I'm looking at 235/45/18 and 245/45/18. Help, please before I end up getting tires that won't fit! I'm also not lowered (yet)

Safety wise I think a 245 would be a minimum for a 10.5" rim, Just curious, why go staggared? And are you AWD?

What is the offset of both front and rears?

Idk why I went staggared other than I like it, and no I'm not awd, but there is a chance I will be one day, this car is my project car and it may be something I decide to do in the future. The offset for both front and rears are +20

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but you will probably have a rough time with that offset... especially with the 10.5's. Those are going to stick out past the fender pretty far...

Already got them in and they only stick out about an inch past the fender, nothing a small flare can't fix, tires are expected to come in in 2 days and they are stretched so... it's gonna look badA
