Well things didn't go that great at wcf. First pass I snapped a rear axle. Finally found a set from Adam St.John to get me back in so I could try to qualify. Take off and I hear a ping so I pull over. Got back to the trailer and jacked up the car and found out the rear wheels weren't spinning. Pulled the tcase and found that the output shaft had snapped out of the trans. Get a new output shaft the next morning and put it in the tcase to make sure that it is the right spline. Start to turn and shaft and the tcase binds up (broken teeth on the gears). Put my backup tcase in (stock) so I had to change the yoke on the driveshaft (Thanks for the yoke Aaron Gregory) Get up to the line and and launched with 7lbs and pulled a 1.36 60 foot, let off at around the 1000' mark and coasted to a 9.0@145mph (needed to get data for the tune) FINALLY MADE A PASS DOWN THE TRACK! Come back, pull the plugs and they look great. I have one more chance to qualify later on in the day. Leave on the same power as the pass before and I snap the output shaft on the tcase. A lot was learned on this outing and hopefully it wont happen again. Changes are getting made at the moment and I will try to update this thread.
Rear axles shouldn't be a problem anymore as I bought these from Adam StJohn after the event was over.

Well since plan "diet" has started, I was able to source a tubular k member from don and Justin Barnes. Construction is very nice and will shed around 40 lbs in the front. It has a built in driveshaft safety loop and a clamp to go around the tail shaft of your t case.

Well the diet is still commencing so I had a tubular rear subframe built for the 4 bolt. It's getting powder coated at the moment.

While I have the transmission out I'm going to install the JB designs basket.

Thanks man! This by far isn't the best looking car but I do the best with what I have.


I got the rear installed yesterday with help from my pops. Installation went smooth except for sourcing some new bolts that were needed for the upper control arms. A big thanks to Bruce Williams @ Carolina Dyno for making this tubular rear for me.

While the rest of the household was sleeping @ 530 I decided to work on the transmission. Took the JB Designs front clutch apart and let the frictions soak in transmission fluid while I disassembled the transmission. I was right at the point of putting it back together when my arm was twisted and ordered the Kiggly billet basket. It should arrive this week and I will get it matched up with the JB Designs part. I'm glad that Jeff and Kevin are making parts for this transmission that are allowing guys to push these cars harder and harder.

They are offering these for sale right now. I should have it installed this weekend.
 
Well I got the trans put together and installed over the weekend. After the trans I got the front subframe installed with the help of my pops and Brandon (team fury).

Finishing up a few odds and ends and the car will finally be on the ground for the next round.
