Fresh update: 4E3AL54F0VE179442- Michigan - Option Code G02. This is 1 of 27 "G02" Talons total - 5 are 98s, and of the 22 others all are USA cars, 4 have "junked" titles, 2 have collision records and rather stale timestamps (2001 and 2008).

If you are in PA, keep your eyes peeled for VIN 4E3AL54F8VE079699. It's a "G02" 97 Wildberry in with a 5/2016 timestamp. There's a recently seen gray G02 somewhere here in Colorado too. Would like to get the sunroof/abs/lsd/keyless/radio/etc information about a few more G02s!

I'm going to pick up my 2nd Talon this weekend. My first was a 1996 TSi awd 5 speed, white, leather interior, sunroof, etc.

The one I'm going to look at is one I've searched for a very long time! A 1998 TSi awd 5 speed, grey, cloth confetti interior, sunroof. I just asked the man who is selling it for the VIN, if he responds in time I'll post it up!

Finally was able to get the VIN to the car I'm buying, here it is!

So did you end up taking it home? Let's see it!

163 Pewter Blue Pearl 2Gb AWDs were made.
Of the 163, 105 are 1997s and 58 are 1998s.
All 163 have gray seats, but only 35 were fabric.
Of those 35, 5 are automatic trans.
Of the 30 manuals, only 9 of them are 1998s.
This is the only one of those 9 with Option Code G15 so it is technically one of a kind.

I most certainly did pick it up!! Here's a few pictures of the car since its been in my possession. Will be doing a full repaint in the factory color this spring and get the small body work straightened out.

Here is a 2gb AWD manual that is up for auction later this week. Due to the no-title situation, it will probably never see the road again. :notgood:
VIN 4E3AL54F6VE093052

That one also has a Kentucky insurance/accident record from 2010, "DAMAGE: SEVERE"

We have a 97 talon awd in yard can drive. Will get you a vin on this. We are 3rd owners all original.

You get that VIN?

WAIT! Before telling me, first let me know the paint color, carpet color, seat material, and transmission type. I bet I can narrow it down to a few possible VINs based on available information!

Added my '97, #091632, last seen, according to your document, in 2011 (I assume that was when it was for sale, because I bought it in 2011). I never realized it was a CA emissions car. According to the previous owner, she bought it as the second owner in '98 in Miami...

Add one more functioning '97 AWD to the list: still in its factory configuration, stock engine, stock turbo, zero modifications, and daily driven for the last 21 years of its life. It's my daily, and it was for the previous owner too--even used to take her kids to school in it.

I noticed a post earlier in the thread stating G70 was a rare options package, and this one has it. Any info on what G70 encompasses?

Greatly appreciate this resource. I knew these things were rare, but I never understood how few '97 and '98s there really were. Sad that so few are known to still be functioning. I'm doing my part to keep it one more on the functioning list.

This is my 96, I ordered it from the factory just the way I wanted it back when I was 21. Won an SCCA devision championship the first year I had it, gone as fast as 12.8 at RMR (notoriously slow strip) with a 14b in place of the t25. Still the original block and I've never had a problem with the tranny (5speed).

I'm in the middle of restoring it now. The interior is nearly perfect, the clear coat pealed, and has one small dent over the driver rear tire (door ding). Fresh rebuild (first time in the motor), bigger turbo, light weight flywheel. I've been out of the DSM loop for the last 12 years due to racing bikes. Seems like I've got a lot to catch up on. Can anyone tell me what the best sources for parts are? I want to do a new rad since the motor and heater core are fresh.

Guess I should just throw the expenses at restoring the underbody on my Talon and continue hanging on to her. Never realized how rare these 2gb are, let alone paprika red pearl.

She's been sitting for 2 years with a junk engine, but is still otherwise a complete car and nearly ready for the road again.

4E3AL54F4VE178844 with the "G70" option, not sure what the option means. #1512 on the spreadsheet specifically. Adding her to the registry now.

ExtremePsi.com has a lot of great parts for aftermarket and OEM.

Sorta late to this as well, but I believe I registered mine on your amazing data sheet in 2016 or 2017, VIN#77777. She was bought brand new off a small Chrysler lot in a small Quebec town, then immediately exported to Romania (Europe). The car lived its whole life there, although it looks like at some point it was mistreated and improperly modified. I 'rescued' it in May 2016 and took it home to neighboring Bulgaria (right under Romania). I only know of one other 2G Talon in my country but that one is a 1996 year, auto AWD. I think mine might be one of the very few 2GB AWD Talons that ever left North America and traveled the world, haha.

I picked up 4E3AL54F0VE008139 a couple months ago. Bought it in Sante Fe, NM. Totally stock except the radio and it's missing the wing.

Nice! Always good to see another DSM here in Colorado. I located that car in 2015 down in New Mexico. At the time, it had 77k miles. What is it at now?
I love the stock 2Gb Talon wheels.

Would you care to fill out the form for this VIN#?

Yeah I'll get to that form. The car has 82K on it now.

Just saw this pop up, I wish I had the money to buy it.
