I just replaced my friction surface on my Fidanza flywheel over the weekend. I got the screws and nuts torqued and now today, I measured the step height. I don't have a dial indicator, so used a digital caliper. Is this the correct spot to take the measurement from? I measured in the three areas like this and got almost the same numbers. My numbers are 0.6105mm, 0.6120mm, & 0.6135mm.

608" to .610" is ideal for DSM performance clutches. Up to .613" will work. Do not try to use anything shallower than .608" Stock is .612" Our flywheels come stepped to .609" to .610" always. I just did a clutch and flywheel replacement.

Calipers are not ideal but you can use them if done properly. Measuring around the outside like you are is not properly. Like the links state, you must get a flat sturdy straight edge and straddle it across the bosses taking multiple measurements in several different directs checking for flatness of the entire surface making sure it is not tapered or bowled. Very similar to checking your head & block. Presently you only know the measurement around the outside edge of the friction surface & no measurements for the inside edge.
