I wasn't sure if an engine build was in the works.

If your reading this thread (anyone, not just those who posted), and are thinking about a v2 68hta with a stock or lower compression 2.0 or want a weekend drag car, I (and others I'm sure), would HIGHLY suggest buying an FP Green instead of the 68hta. The green flows 6 lbs / min more, and doesn't require a J pipe.

My v1 68hta hits 20 psi around 3500 rpm and holds it well until redline. It has the kamak 9 blade turbine wheel instead of the standard 12 blade. The difference I noticed when I switched was more top end flow, and slightly quicker spool, but at a later RPM (start at 2900 full boost by 3500 as opposed to starting at 2700 full boost by 3400). I did also switch from an eBay manifold to an fp manifold at this time, so I can't be for sure what changed what.

My supporting mods are an ets street intercooler and short rout piping, fic 950cc injectors, evo fuel pump, and street tuned with ecuflash.

This setup ran just under 103 mph in the quarter mile with a full interior and a passenger (est. 3600 lbs total) in my awd at 18 psi while I was in the tuning process. I've since upped the boost and worked out some kinks in the tune.

I went straight from the stock t25 to this turbo, so I have nothing else to compare it to. I'm used to the tiny amount of lag it has, and it has great top end power. From what I hear, this little turbo has even more potential. My next upgrades will be e85 and cams.

Long story short: I think the v1 68hta is a versatile street turbo with respectable power and has OE fitment.
 
I finally got my V2 Hta68 8cm installed.
I am real happy with the turbo. It is definitely making more power. I will be taking it to the drag strip on Saturday. It spools faster than my eBay 16G I was running and is making more torque down low. In the days to come I will try to have video posted of the runs and spool times. I'm currently running 21psi tapering to 19. Running about 15-16 degrees advance.
 
It's because you're running lower boost and no cams I'm guessing.. I have fp2 cams and I hit 20psi around 4000rpm and peak (28) around 4400. Gotta remember that spoolup is relative to CR, displacement, max boost level, the tuner, the fuel.. ehh you get the idea. there is a lot of variables.
 
I am taking my car to the Dyno at fat house fabrication in Martinsville IN.
I will have the dyno for one hour. I will try to post results on the HTA68 V2.
