Alright so im battleing a knock problem now for some bizzare reason. I jus had my car professionally tuned and im getting 4-5 degrees of knock at 4k (23psi give or take) during wot. This knock is consistent with every wot pull. When we were tuning the car about a week ago, i wasnt having this problem. Afr's are about 11.0. I thought maybe it was the gas, so i filled up with new gas and still same knock. Maybe i thought it was the map, so i uploaded a previous map, still knock. Had the tuner reduce timing to see if it will help combat the knock (which it really should) but still the car knocked. The car was tuned on a warmer day, these past few days have been 20 degrees colder which in theory the car should knock less, still knocks. The tune is on point so i know it cant be that. Which leads me to believe that the sensor is bad. I have no idea on the life of the sensor, when it was installed on the car or how tight it is. It doesnt seem to be leaking, but it looked to have leaked at some point and dried up. It wasnt wet or anything when i ran my finger over it. I attached a picture so you guys can see if the sensor looks bad. Should i change the sensor and see if it is my problem?

In theory, colder air has more air molecules per volume so it actually leans out the tune. However, you said you guys pulled timing and it still knocked so it's more likely your knock sensor as everyone else says. You could also try throwing in some higher octane fuel, like 100 octane, and see if it still knocks. Higher octane fuel will be more knock resistant.

Well I put the new sensor in and still knock. I'm hesitant to post anymore since this will turn into a tuning discussion but thanks everyone. Afrs are on point. Could it be phantom knock or "noise"? It's 4 degrees BTW.

What do you have your knock detection set up to on link?
