I recently bought a 96 eclipse gsx with a 6 bolt. It is previously modified and the wiring harness has been hacked to pieces. I was wondering if a 97 talon turbo harness would work

It will work but you should try and find a 95-96 harness with either ABS or non-ABS, manual or auto. Mine was lost in a engine fire years ago and I went with the same year so I needed 95 manual no abs. I was originally going to use an auto harness but seen all the extra wires and chose to try and find a manual harness but the 97 auto would of worked I just would have had a bunch of unused wires.

Also a FSM volumn 2(electrical) would be helpful as well.

Here's a link to a downloadable version. Good luck!

So i found a 95 talon tsi awd engine harness but i have a 6 bolt. Do i need to swap any plugs to get it to fit? And if i grabbed the under dash harness would it fit my 96 gsx thank you in advance

Nope, no plug swapping. Is it for a manual and abs or not? is my only concern but either will work. Yuo don't need the under dash harness, your original will be fine. Unless you like to tearing out wiring harnesses LOL ,me i dont. ;-)

It is manual and abs just like mine so i dont have to swap a 1g cas plug? I can run the 2g cas with the 6 bolt and 1g head with 1g cas. The under dash wiring is hacked as well. 2 different remote starts a turbo timer and the boost and vacc gauges are chopped in to that one as well. I like to know what is what and where in my wiring harnesses, so i dont mind and i wire up forklift harness at my job

Nope you leave the original CAS pigtails intact and run a "1G in a 2G" wiring harness Here: https://www.extremepsi.com/store/product.php?productid=27177&cat=1837&page=4

You will run a 1G cas and with that wire harness above, and it will let you adapt that 1G cas to the 2G cas OEM wiring.

And if you're more comfortable with changing the interior harness then giver shit. That interior harness will work for you too.

Thanks for the link, that will look a lot nicer than splicing. I will post a couple more pic of the original harness verse the new one after i get off work so you can understand the need to swap ha
