Hi everyone, i have a 89 mirage auto with a IPT restall tq converter its a 2.3 stroker motor and has pt6266 turbo. The tq conv stall up to 3200rpm and build only 2psi of boost. I ran 11.5 over 134mph with a 2.2 60ft. I bought a dry nitrous kit but i dont know how to launch with it. Ive been reading a lot and there is different opinions some people say to launch and then spray it all the way in 1st gear, other people say to set up the 2step around 4900rpm stall the converter spray it till it gets to the 4900rpm. I was wondering how you guys are doing it to get the best results. Thanks

You are going to want a better converter with that setup. You'll also benefit from a 2.0 more than that 2.3.

The reason the 2.0 would be better is simple, that's enough turbo to get that car over 9,000 rpms through the traps.

For now, start with a small shot like a 35, and work your way up. You'll probably benefit activating by tps and rpm. For example. Use an arming switch to enable the system. Then set the activation parameters to something like >75% tps and >2800rpms <4500rpms. That last number is going to depend on what rpm you drop to on a shift.

It's going to take some work on a test and tune night to see exactly what your setup likes.

I will try that kapok6, thanks. If i put the car in neutral and activate the antilag in my ecmlink the car build over 18psi of boost. If i can stall the tq conv to 4500rpm with nitrous then release the nitrous botton and leave the antilag to do the rest of the job. That might work....
