Your question is very vague but, if you have a t-25 or a 14b any 16g is an upgrade but you will need supporting mods to get the full potential out of it. How much are you getting it for if you purchase it? It will be helpful to give full details as to what platform you are asking questions about l(1g,2g,etc) and also fill out profile page if possible

2g stock is a t-25. Now, $350 for a 16g and slim fans(average pricing). It's up to you in the end. You can get an evo III 16g or any variant of that for around $250-$500 for fresh rebuild on here and depending on the fans you can get a set for under a $100 as well. You will need fuel mods before you can boost above 14 psi ish with any turbo bigger than stock.

Yes sir and thank you! That's why I'm asking so many questions. Want to do it right the first time. My dad owns a mechanic shop so he will be helping. I'm sure yal will see a million more posts from me in the next few weeks!

Doesn't seem like its much bigger of a turbo and I could get a better turbo for just a little more new.

Man that's fast for a fwd gst. What kind of whp u making out of ur setup?

Seems like I could get a bigger / better turbo for just a little more monthey tho.

I run a small 16g with all the supporting mods and it holds twenty pounds of boost all the way to red line. That is the main benefit of the 16g. I will be upgrading soon and plan on going with a holset to reach my goals. My personal opinion is experience what the car has to offer on every level. I started with full bolts on and a tune with the T-25, then onto the 16g. My plan now is to build my 7 bolt head and switch to speed density and E-85 so I can max out the 16g until I can finally find a good 6-bolt to piece together the build for the holset! Welcome to the board and have fun these cars are a blast to drive as long as you take care of all the service the car needs before modding and beating on the car.

The one I'm getting this weekend has a blown motor and comes with a spare block and extras. Think I just found a hx35 and manifold locally for 775 so that will be way better than the 16g LOL. Thanks tho and all the maintenance etc will be done on everything it's getting a complete rebuild and balanced etc. Thank you sir!

Hey TexasHavoc, I think I was looking at the same Craigslist post as you were LOL. Was this in San Antonio by chance? I called the guy around the same time you originally posted this and he said he had just let it go. Man! I really wanted to grab that deal!

Lol I don't even remember where I found that deal anymore. I ended up picking up a hx35, ETS 3.5" race intercooler, hks bov, 3" custom downpipe, full 3" exhaust and a manusa 38mm wastegate ( which I prob won't even use. Prob going with a tial 44mm. Sorry for ur luck man. Where u located? All my work has slowed down so I haven't made much progress at all in the last month :( hopefully I'll be ordering some internals etc soon.

I have a Hahn 20g, I believe they just use MHI turbos and smack them into t3 housings. I think they do more 420a parts than 4g stuff
