I'm having some major issues. Car fires and idles fine, as soon as you touch the throttle pedal the factory boost gauge maxes out (14 psi) aftermarket gauge reads 0. My tach doesn't work so I don't know exactly RPM but 2000-3000 loses all power, sounds like it's back firing, blows black smoke.
Ecu is new
Boost leak test was done
New fuel pump and filter
Plugs are gapped at .028
Car is a 5 speed
 
more info. what turbo, injectors, fuel pump, regulator, etc. sounds like it could be a bad MAF, or weak fuel pump.
It's the factory td05h turbo, I was told stock injectors, it's a Delphi oem replacement pump, factory regulator, boost leak was from right behind the maf and tested to 20psi with no leak, I can test it again tonight and recheck.
 
So I redid a boost leak test. No leaks. I did a compression test 140 across the board. Injectors are B450L (blue in color). Maf test was good. tested the TPS it was good. Cat is empty so it's not plugged. I am at a complete and utter loss right now. Any suggestions??
 
You have no profile so what car is this? Any codes? Did it run fine or did you buy it this way? Any recent changes? What led up to this? Is this a stock ecu? Need more info.
 
It's a 1990 laser rs. No codes. When I bought it is had an automatic ecu, bought one for a 5 speed, ran good for a day then started running rich above 2k rpm to where it almost dies like it's flooding out. Ecu is supposed to be stock. It's from SoCal auto parts.
 
i apologize. car is a 5 speed and has 450cc injectors which if i read right is the matching numbers. have you guys ever possibly had issues with the injector ballast/impedence box/ resistor box (i dont know the real name for it) or injectors sticking open?
