A good friend of mine came by today and helped me go over the timing once more. Turned out I was off a tooth on both cams. -_- it's reset now and the car is back together. Waiting on the battery to charge... More info soon

Well things didn't go well over the last week. Yes I have the timing done and the car back together. I was having issues starting the car and the battery keeping power. long story short.. cause im still a little upset about it. There was a misshape with a jump box and the battery got grounded. This sent current to the ECU burning the board and damaging the V3 socket.

Pics below.

The car wouldn't turn over any more. Here is the cause. Flooded cylinders with fuel. Apparently when the ECU got burnt it was telling my injectors to stay wide open when the key was on. Flooded the motor and took a while to get all the fuel out and the smell to go away.

Spare Eprom ECU and V3 chip being sent out to ECMtuning for repair and socketing.

Got the new Ecu in and installed.

It works and I can connect to it. Car no longer floods when trying to start. cylinders are clean. The car almost started on first crank and then lost it. Tried a couple more times but nothing. Plugs could be too fouled out. Not sure. But progress is progress.

Thank you for the reply! This is my first time working with link. Even though I read all the "how top's" for setting link up. I knew I would have missed something. Just need to get the car running so I can take it to the tuner.

Car specs.
-1999 Eclipse GSX
-5 Speed
-Chassis Mileage 87k

-Built 7 Bolt Block (Arias Pistons, Manley I-Beam Rods, ARP Hardware, Stock Crank, ACL bearings, etc)

-7 Bolt Head (Kelford 272 Cams, AEM Cam Gears, 3G Lifters, Supertech Valvetrain etc)(one thing that's interesting it has a 1g CAS on it that functional

-Bolt on’s (Magnus Street Manifold, 1G Throttle Body, FP 4” Intake, ExtremeMotorsports FMIC kit, DNP exhaust manifold, DNP manifold PTE6262 BB T3 .82A/R, Apexi exhaust etc)

-Tuning (ECM Tuning, AEM IAT, AEM Map 5 bar I believe)

-Fuel (Jay Racing 343 Kit, STM rewire, FIC 1450’s)

"Are you sim narrowband or not"
Only running one 02 My AEM wideband upfront.

Ok so you are going to SD. Go under the ecu input tab and set the pin assignments for the AEM iat and map. Make sure to capture and display them in the log. Did you wire the sensors in or use the plug and plug harness from ecmlink? If you used the plug and play harness it should be Baro not mdp input. Since your running the AEM wideband in the front without the narrowband o2 sensor you need to check the NBO2 sim tab box and set the volt switch point. Under the maf comp tab switch the base maf type to SD.

Ecu inputs are now saved.
Front 02 AEM I line uego ( when j bought this car I was told the aem was wired into the Ecu.)
Intake temp Aem IAT
MDP AEM 5bar
Rear factory none.

MAP set to baro
Maf comp has been switched to SD.

For nbo2 I enables the narrowband simulation. Colts is set to 2.49? Is this correct?

I'm not familiar AEM wideband as I use Innovate MTX-L. However, I see the estafrs go to 0 so that's not good. Ok since it works with the baro setting change the pin assignment to baro instead of mdp. Capture battery volts, combine fuel trims, stfts and ltfts. The o2 sensor is not cycling.

Before you start the car turn the key over to the on position right before cranking, start a stream and press the throttle WOT 3 times then right click on the log and do the tps adjustment. This will get you close to the .63 volts and then you can fine adjust until it reaches .63.

Also, check out youtube videos on AEM wideband and ecmlink.

Switch the mdp back to factory and change the baro to aem in the pin assignments just like how you have in the bottom part. Try the switchpoint 2.34 instead of the 2.49. You can lock the car into open loop and see how it does. The o2 could be dead or not wired in properly or even the injectors are too far out of whack.

How is the AEM map sensor and wideband wired in? Something is wrong because map sensor should read -18hg or so at idle. Also the afrest is stuck at 0 causing problems. The tps is still off at .61v You need to check the wiring to ecu on the wideband sensor to make sure the right wire for narrowband is at the right ecu pin.

I bought this car about 5 months ago. So I am not sure How every wire was ran. I was told the aem wb was wired to Ecu for logging/tuning. Makes sense since it's the main 02 sensor.

Not sure why the tps is at .61 when it was at .65after the adjust.

Also the switch point will only hold 2.33, it won't save at 2.34.

I'll need to check wires at this point. And see where they are running too. But the fact it runs makes me happy.

Updated ECMtuning per suggestions.
Car seemed to idle different after the 02 started cycling.
log attached. I post screen shots of my changes.

Updated pin assignments.

More updates to come. Aiming for 500+ on 93.

Need to go over the car make sure everything is in working order.

'tCar is done at this point.
-Topped off the coolant.
-Fresh VR1 Oil
-New PVC valve
-Picked up two sets of NGK BR8ES
Hoping to get tuned in late October.

Side note, I am on the hunt now for Talon Twisty side skirts. And I'm torn between picking the CTSV or EVO BBK swap. For the exterior my plans are as follows.
2gb front bumper
Talon Twist side skirts ( if i can't find a nice set. I'll just Grab a skirt splitter or something)
Carbonetics CSL carbon hatch.
Carbonetics vented hood. (way down the road)

Looking to have a similar look as Boostin Performances DSM. But these talon side skirts are getting harder to find. LOL Also. I would eventually like to tuck my bay. Harness tuck and Brake line tuck as well. I love so clean engine bays, that look minimalistic.

Not a major update. Still waiting on my tune appt. I decided to fix the rear truck latch. I was tired of having to pull the lever twice, to get the trunk to open up. This DIY took me about 10 mins. Now the trunk opens first time every time.

My buddy came over with his new Cummins. All I can say is wow, this beast has a big F**king turbo. 50psi is a common thing LOL. A blast to ride in to say the least.

The tow beast and the slow beast together.
