Whats the deal with your timing? It's flat the whole pull and 15.2 is pretty high @ peak torque. Rod bearing aren't gonna be too happy for very long.

Nice run tho, cars sounds good!
Na it's not high. I have always ran stock timing on my tunes. Stock 2 G t timing is 16 degrees wot. The car sees zero knock and egts are in the 1300 range the tune is a okay! Rod bearings don't like detonation in my case I didn't see any in no gear whatsoever.marks of a good tuner IMO. There's room in this pull to run more timing but I chose to leave timing alone. In fact I am running a 2g cam sensor and kiggly crank sensor to ensure all stays dead on. I have seen to Many people blow up their engine using the 1g can sensor and not getting the physical timing right the 2g stock setup takes the guess work out! I been tuning dsmlink for the last 13 years. therefore that graph you see above is not achievable by many people not tooting my horn I have fixed a lot of messed up tunes over the years.

The one thing to take away from this is it is all guesswork. He has no real data, no respectable time slips and excuses and smoke and mirrors just like normal. For him to be so badass you would think he would be out of it the first sign it was breaking up. And from what I can see his official time is 146mph. And to think your speedometer and datalog are accurate to those high of speeds is ignorant.

And from your speedometer video that barely crested 150mph, and for you to let off right before the first trap speed marker , I would say the 150mph dash shot and 146mph displayed speed is accurate. And to think you have a legitimate 700hp from a basic street pull with no reference is just as ignorant.

Please prove me wrong with some low 10 second passes near or over 140mph next week. Because that is what we should be expectinf with 700-800hp. If you cannot you need to stay off the forums with your ridiculous bs of outrunning a stock corvette or mustang. Because in my experience most focus on going through the gears at land speed events rather than focusing on a non-existent elapsed time. Congratulations, you have proven nothing to us once again.

And just so everyone knows, while a car with a 6266 can have respractable performance, a full weight, awd 2g will never be fast. Simple fact it is too heavy. Hard to be fast when you are heavy. Someone on the dsmlink forums took his full weight steer car with your power level to the track just recently. Needless to say it was not impressive for the power. Fat car=slow car.

And for the new users out there, it is complete hearsay that running a 1g cam angle sensor in your 2g will hurt the engine. People have been using that combination with success longer than this expert has even known what a 4g63 is. Let alone all the 1g folks who have no choice and don't seem to have any issues.

You need to do some research and look around at how highly this guy totes himself and how innovative he is with a nearly 30 year old platform. He is the one running around tooting his own horn, not me. I just want to see some legitimate numbers from the car. Not some dangerous street pull videos, some unimportant dyno sheets or pictures of him crashing his car being wreckless.

If he wants to be legitimate, do so. If you want to be an attention whore ricer, then do so. Don't try to pretend you are both with a platform no one cares about that does not mean anything anymore. With enough money and effort anything can be fast. I would think after all these years we have nothing to prove or show people about four cylinder performance. Yet this guy thinks he is on the cutting edge like it is 2001 or something.

Did someone post something. I missed it. Oh I get it it must be someone in my ignore list. Is the comment worth taking them off ignore to address or should we just carry on? What yall think. Thanks fellas.

Y Just keeping it in the fore front. Impressive to me for sure and that's all that matters!

Maybe I can't read but, looks like that is exactly what he said. As I keep saying, run a number and prove me wrong. Don't give us 75% and expect everyone to suck you off. Run something worth a darn and post it when you do. If not, keep the worthless bs to yourself. You will get no respect from me trying to get your street cred.

mustang had no chance
He was really cool about it. He asked me when we pulled around why I let out I showed him on my log. He was curious if I had not what speed I would have run. One of the coolest mustang owners I have ever met!

He also didnt say running a 1G CAS will blow the motor up he said its more difficult to get the timing dead on.
even when a person gets the timing dead on mechanically I never felt comfortable trusting the cams with the timing of my crank. I just don't feel thing are able to stay stable with the timing belt whipping at 9000rpm. Its a personal pet peeve but one that has led me to get my personal car running the way i like for it to run smooth! :D

Come on man, it's a hobby. He didn't say he was proving anything. I'm sure you're extremely knowledgeable but don't be so negative.
Yeah i am a cabinet maker by trade and built this car on my spare time. Others see that I am putting out performance shop power and try to throw me into a class outside of hobbyist! My car is daily driven and very well respected locally for the last 13yrs. Here's an example of what I do full time. All built with my own two hands just like the car! The car will only get better from this point forward.

You know you're doing something right when you have haters following your every move.
Every move on all forum platforms. I have scratched my head many of times. Even in ignore mode he seems to make his presence manifest. On another note I was asked what is the biggest difference i notice going from fwd to awd with same setup? The answer is the g-force the car is able dish out its totally unreal. Second is the car doesn't mess around when it is summoned to go it get to going very quickly. Having the confidence that the pressure is on the other car at the starting line is soothing!

keltalon you have a gift . Man that is beautifull very contemporary styling .
Thanks I implement the same level of details in every aspect of the eclipse!

That being said, I'm sure all of us here would love to see the car run in the 1/4. Is there a track near you?

It's coming soon we have 6 tracks here. I too want to know what she gonna do.i only have one pass to get it right with no roll cage.

My first eclipse was also a 2g fwd and it was a pain wheels would spin with every little bit of gas could not put the power to the ground . My first time at the track i blew the transmission . Then i found a 98 gsx and traded in my gst. The first time i launched it i was like wow this is fun . When i had all my mods with a small 20g turbo the spool was so fast that when i launched it i could feel the pressure on my chest from the g force .

Go to the track and just work on the 1/2 track until you get it where you want then make it eat on the full 1/4. Glad to see you went AWD. Car is running great.

Thanks great suggestions. My boys and I were talking about this yesterday instead of waiting until the 1/2 mile comes back to ga we are planning on going to Ocala FL 1/2 mile. I was only going to get 1 1/4 mile run just to add it to my resume and to satisfy my own curiosity. After Friday this platform will go straight to the paint shop at the same time interior will also be done. A few days ago I ordered a set of xxr 527 9.75 to replace the xxr 527 8.75 thats currently on the car. Sound system is going in as well only difference is instead of the 12" subs will be replaced with 10" subs. So the plan is to get the street beast just as clean as the gst was. Although it will be drivable daily it will be an event only street car just for 1/2 mile racing. I recently acquired two new projects a Honda del sol b16a vtec and a 2004 audi a4 quattro 6 speed manual. I have been working on both of these cars at the same time. The del sol will be my 1/4 track car. Audi my new daily driver project to respectfully hold down the streets.
