Hey so a few days ago I noticed increased vibrations in the cabin around 2.5k rpm and higher. I thought there might be an issue with the timing belt so I pulled top cover off and saw a little shredding of the passenger side of the belt. Went further into depth and pulled the entire timing cover and found this.

I have since replaced both belts and it runs fine. The only issue I have is the BS tension-er pulley is noisy. I'm going to replace all timing components here shortly within a month. Is the noisy pulley going to fail before I replace it or could I potentially get away with it just being noisy for now?

thanks.

thanks.[/QUOTE]

There is no way of know when the pulley will fail. It could be 3 days it could be 3 years. I would be very easy on it if you reuse it until you get a new one.

I have 100 miles so far both belts. I haven't boosted. It's my DD so I shift around 3 to 3.5k rpm and am going very easy on it until I get the new parts. Also, she is old... 200,157 miles now. So I'm just trying to keep it alive! haha

thanks for any responses

edit: this isn't the first time the belts were changed. both BS and timing were replaced at 160k miles
