Hey guys I am going to start putting my 6 bolt back together in my 2g project. Anyways I have a few questions.

First off the harmonic balancer was deleted for a Unorthodox Under dive pulley. Some have said this has been and issue. Anyways I am thinking of ditching it for a factory harmonic balancer. There is a 7 bolt 4g63 in my junk yard in a 93 eclipse. Is the pulley the same for the 6 bolts. Aftermarket seems to split them up. Could save a few bucks getting the used one but if it will not work then I will just look at getting a used on threw here or buying a new one. So is that worth picking up.

Also the car is getting a new head gasket as that is what blew up 7 years ago. Anyways the car has arp studs for the head. Pretty sure I should toss them and replace them with a fresh set. I don't want to have to do all this work again. New studs are only $100. I am not even aiming for big power so even a set of bolts would work. Would you reuse the old arp head studs or junk them since the car blew a head gasket. I do not know why the car puked one. I think it was overheated as the head has a slight warp to it but history is unknown other than it went good as the oil and the coolant look the same.

Next up I am going into gaskets. I was looking into a victor Victor Reinz kit. I have used their kits on other cars without any issues. Prefer felpro but they don't have a full kit and putting one together gets expensive. Not seeing anything bad about this. So figure it should be a good kit.

Also need to replace every single coolant hose on the engine. They are either rock solid or soft and mushy. Either way I don't trust any of them. I have been looking at these ebay sets. Normally I would just go with the rubber ones but that is getting expensive and I could miss a few here and there. I found these on ebay. Seems they get everything plus new clamps which is nice as some of mine looked bad coming off. Anybody use these kits. Again if they are junk I will just go rubber for the extra $50-100 for rubber ones.

Last up right now is bearings. The old ones sat in coolant forever and the coating has come off. They are .25mm under sized. Crankshaft looks perfect other than needing a clean. Was looking into the cheaper ACL set but they did not size up on a buddies miata. That and the cheap ones were made in China...yaye. Anybody got a decent brand they like to use. Thinking some sealed power. Its mexico but at least they have been good on my lt1 and buddies miata. Tho may just go with the cheaper ACL ones.

Might have a few more questions as they come up. Project has stalled out. Need to get it moving as I am ready to just get it out of the yard.
