hello I'm fairly new to the DSM community and I'm in the process of building a 6 bolt engine I know from building older ford V8s that an experience machinist with the block goes a long way. however I just recently moved to southern Indiana from California and have found myself calling every machine shop within a 3 state parameter in order to get someone who is capable (unsuccefully finding one)I was wondering if anyone in the area has had any success with quality shops (meaning they have experience with the 4g63 and the proper equipment)

I have a block that is .020 already and has slight damage to one of the walls I was hoping to go no more than .030 however I don't want to purchase the $800 Ross pistons if it needs togo larger (yes $800 with the works ceramic coated so on) .040 I will just purchase the cheaper HD1400 (I won't know till a machinist inspects it) I was hoping to keep the extra meat on the walls i was considering doing a "half filled block" if I go .040 I know it sounds weird but I would prefer it done correctly the first time if anyone knows of any shops with good reps around me please let me know

I'm looking for

1) line honed I have a kiggly girdle and ARP main studs proper torque specs are a must when line honing watched a machinist tighten down the studs out of order after giving him specs and decided not to have him machine my block yes I'm that OCD
2)resurfacing of the deck to a surface roughness of 20 RA or finer/smoother.
3) reboring and honing with a torque plate I have purchased one because every shop iv called doesnt have one also I have L19 head studs
4) pressure tested and magnafluxed
5) polishing and balancing of stock crank (yes I know they are decently balanced from mitsu) possibly lightened and knife edging
6)ring gapping and honing bore to pistons
7) freeze plugs taped for screw in plugs
8) acid dipped bath for cleaning

9) I have a virgin head that will need reworked in future so if they are good with heads (heyooo) that's a huge plus
