i have a 95 gst that has been converted to a gsx, it has a fuel cut off switch and a start switch. Well one day, I forgot to flip the switch back up (I know I need a push start) & got tempted by a SS Camaro and had to smoke it. My car is pushing 400hp at 30lbs. Abruptly after, I pull into Walmart and I can't turn the car back on. Realizing it was my fault, I knew I burnt the starter out. I have it towed home, replaced the starter & put everything back together and it tried to crank the first time but it only got weaker & weaker until it wouldn't start at all. Now, the radio works, headlights & tail lights work, battery was tested good. I have no dash lights that I normally would get, srs etc, and the switch has no response. It's wired straight to the starter. I'm a newbie to dsm's, so please help. My first 400+hp car & 2 days after I bought it, I can't even move it. :(

Also, my aem fuel/air gauge is throwing the p000 code then peaking out & then having (---) show up. I'm reading no volts on my volt meter. Boost gauge is obviously not working. Btw, it was a brand new starter I put on it. I have tighten down the battery TIGHT, connected everything properly on the starter, you only have one bolt to put it on anyway & a place for female connector that runs to he starter switch inside the car. Sorry for the lack of info.

so from the starter solenoid it goes directly to the switch?
where does the other terminal on the switch go to? ignition switch? Battery?

I'm checking the ignition fuse, starter relay & ecu today. I'll get back to you guys & let you know how it works.

Sounds like a fuse or relay is no good or brake in wiring. id check fuses first and replace if any are bad then with a volt meter check continuity to both your fuel cut off switch and starter switch. If you get no continuity in a wire then there's a breake in the circuit (more then likely at a blown fuse). At least that will let you know if your getting power to those areas. Id also make sure your fuel is actually making it threw the injectors and that your plugs are igniting the air/fuel mixture. I'm just like you new to the DSM platforms and had my own problems with my 97 gs but with a little bit of patience and commonsense you'll get it.

I found it, just a disconnected wire & it had pulled the fuse out & I didn't know it was there to begin with. Now I know, appreciate it guy. Btw guys, 4th fuse on the left, if it's not there, there is your very simple but irritating fix. Takes 5 seconds.
