Yeah that's definitely a 22cm2 T4 housing. They make a great doorstop. :p

You think that it's most likely not even worth running on a 10.5:1 2.0 Auto?

@JusMX141 Side question about holsets...do all legit holsets that you have seen have a part # cast into the center housing? I have an HX40 that was advertised as rebuilt "all real holset", but has no #'s cast into the center housing.

^ Definitely not a Genuine CHRA. Someone likely took a Genuine cover and put a Chinese CHRA in it....occasionally you'll find a legit builder using an aftermarket bearing housing, but 9 times out of 10 it's someone using the art of deception to make a quick buck.

Another way to tell is the tag on the bearing housing refers to it as a "HX40G"....the "G" indicating it was originally found on a Natural Gas application (compressor, generator, bus, etc) and would've had coolant ports on both sides of the housing. So the CHRA has definitely been replaced. If the seller can't prove authenticity or isn't a trusted builder using aftermarket bearing housings and Genuine internals you may as well be running a full Chinese HX40 which are under $300 new.

Genuine:

Hello guys, does someone know a p/n of hx40super with 16cm housing? I only find some HX40 with a lot of variations...Or HX40S is custom build turbo? Seems everyone who sells him, have the exactly same prices, no matter what country..I am curious if i can find a seller here in my country.. Or is that much better hx40s opposite hx40 from man truck?

i find this 4038409 , but it seems normal HX40 from MAN

This is from a Motor Coach engine, brand new Super 6 HX40.
Sorry, I am not home at the moment or I would post up a better picture of the part number for you.

This is a 7 blade from a big truck:

Both are very good units for making power.
Maybe @JusMX141 can give you some numbers that would help you track one down. :thumb:
I don't know of anyone that uses the exhaust housings. Most put them into a T3/T4 hotside or a BEP housing for our cars.

Anytime Tom! :)

Tom I ran them too when I saw you posting. I got nothing also but I know my 6 blade is brand new from Holset that a man bought for his motor home/coach and said it had a difference to it from the one on his C6J?? Cummins motor (8.3) or something like that, so he had his original rebuilt. The 7 blade just recently came from a semi truck motor I believe. Both have huge exhaust housings and internal gates but I can't find the # inside the exhaust housing to tell exactly what size they are.

I will post up a close up of the box with the part number on it for the thread later today.
