I need to adjust the rod that goes from the brake booster rod to the pedal. I had to replace the worn pedal assembly and didn't mark things correctly.

Adjust the rod till the oin fits through the hole! Its self retaining so the spring keeps it back up and you just adjust to suit where the pedal sits, make sure to readjust the brake switch though as thats what matters so your lights come on ok
 
That sounds relieving. I mean I lied a bit. I did mark it, but not comfortable that I marked it correctly.
