Going to be taking my throttle body off tomorrow to swap out the shaft seals as they are keeping my throttle open a bit too much and not dropping my idle down to where it should be.

I'm looking for some help on how to use evoscan to adjust the TPS to make sure its sitting back at .63volts again when I screw it back on.

As of right now evoscan says my cars TP is 13.333 at idle.
How do I log voltage on the TPS? I can't locate anything else on evoscan.

Or is there a formula that you can use 13.333 against that will = X volts?

If you have a logger that will show the actual value of the idle position switch then you can use it to replace the multimeter for measuring continuity.

The factory spec for TPS voltage on a 2G is so wide that it's only to verify defective TPS's. The FSM procedure is to set where the IPS opens and closed in relation to throttle shaft opening. The ECU normalizes the voltages between closed and WOT to produce a throttle position.
 
I have just recently rebuilt my throttle body and replaced the shaft seals as well as the biss screw o-ring. So my question is i got the TPS set to .627volts using evoscan while the car is in the on position and logging but not running.

I then got my BISS screw position set at +- 750 rpm using evoscan as well. Now, as i was setting the the BISS screw position to correct idle i noticed that in my logging that the TPS is at .642volts while idling. But when the car is only in the on position and not idling it is at the .627volts position.

I'm guessing that ecmlink probably rounds its values to a .63 as i can only obtain a .627 or a .642volts out of moving the TPS around using evoscan.

Is this acceptable or should i be adjusting the TPS so it reads a .627volt while idling?

Also with the car on and not running the TPS can move from .627 to 4.86 by pushing the pedal all the way to the floor.

I'm also interested to know how this works as I run a blackbox and will be putting a new throttle body on soon.
 
I'm using Link. With the car on, not running, my TPS is at .61. With the car idling, it's at .63. I've had it this way for years since I usually manually adjust the TPS with the car not running. I believe when the car is started the throttle plate opens up a hair to let it breathe. Idle wise, it's right around 750 after warm up.
 
The stupid tps is always moving about. It changes voltage once you rotate it so it's no surprise that heat and vibration can slightly alter the voltage.

I would like to know where you are reading your volts for the TPS on evo scan. The only option I have is for TPS Percentage.
